Ohios process for deleting people it deems inactive from its voting rolls is legal, the Supreme Court ruled Monday, in a decision that could boost the movement to clean up voting rolls across the country.
The court, in the 5-4 ruling, also seemed to side with those who say the potential for voting fraud exists, with Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. citing statistics that 2.75 million people are registered to vote in more than one state, and some 24 million names on voting lists are inaccurate.

A story and read the decision.
A nation governed by one Justice?
This is discriminatory against dead voters...../s
Good, it’s ridiculous that the voter registrations haven’t been cleaned up.
When the system allows voter fraud it deprives us all of our voter rights.
Sotomayor and Ginsberg are simply corrupt ideologues. From the transcript:
“Ohios removal process follows subsection (d) to the letter: It does not remove a registrant on change-of-residence grounds unless the registrant is sent and fails to mail back a return card and then fails to vote for an additional four years.”

The court, in the 5-4 ruling,
...
In a sane world it would be 9-0.
There are so many people who move over years. How long people be on the books as per Democrats.
The voting books I work with are full of Affirm Address notifications staff where signatures belong.
Many apartments list current and past residents.. If you skipped 2016 Presidential election and 2020 and elections in between, you need to be removed!
If the sample ballot is delivered no affirm address message (I do believe) but if post man returns the ballot, then Affirm Address. Once it seems a post man messed up and erroneously retturned ballots. Oops!

Absolutely...The sickening thing is the libs are trying to legislate from the bench.
Justice Alito for the win:
“The dissents have a policy disagreement, not just with
Ohio, but with Congress. But this case presents a question
of statutory interpretation, not a question of policy.
We have no authority to second-guess Congress or to
decide whether Ohios Supplemental Process is the ideal
method for keeping its voting rolls up to date. The only
question before us is whether it violates federal law. It
does not.”
Getting back to basics = MAGA
The sickening thing is the libs are trying to legislate have been legislating from the bench for years.
The second paragraph of the dissent:
“In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a number of ‘[r]estrictive registration laws and administrative procedures’ came into use across the United States from literacy tests to the poll tax”
And that’s where you can stop reading. As a poster wrote here, or maybe in another thread, it’s always the race card.
Oh no! Voter purges approved!!!

It should be mandatory to audit and authenticate voter rolls!
Ohio is a swing state so I’m very glad they are doing this but, it’s still up to each state. It should be required everywhere. Of course, the libprogs will spring a gasket in every instance it is proposed.
For heavens sake, a 4 year break? They both are corrupt.
who would object to this??????
(Rhetorical- I know it’s democrats)
Agreed...The Feds can’t control state and local elections but they sure can regulate voter registration for federal offices.
