uestions remain over whether BuzzFeed News acted ethically with a former employee, Ali Watkins, who had a romantic relationship with an indicted former security director for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
Watkins told her BuzzFeed editors about her relationship with the individual, James Wolfe, who the Department of Justice has charged with lying to investigators during a leak probe, according to The New York Times, where Watkins now works as a national security reporter.
BuzzFeed Editor-In-Chief Ben Smith said he would not comment at all on a reporters sources in the middle of an unjustifiable leak hunt when The Daily Caller News Foundation asked...

Now there are internet rumors flying around that she was banging one or two members of the actual committee, as well.
Any comment from Wolfe's FBI wife about this?
☺
That BuzzFeed's actions were unethical is beyond dispute. The important question is whether they were criminal.
Talk about a honeypot covert operative/spy!!!
So,who’s not running this year to spend more time with his family?
If your wife is an FBI agent, does lying to to cover up your affair count the same as lying to the FBI? If so, this will add a lot more counts of lying to the feds...
*snort*
They knew and didn’t report? They should be charged with conspiracy.
Funny how sex is an element in most of these things.
This tweet from her in 2013 has not aged well.
I think the girl was what was called a “honey trap,” that is, a young sweetie who would sleep with any guy who knew anything in order to get his info. And then he was hooked, because he was an older or unattractive man who thought she really loved him (sniff, sniff!).
Wow.
And she didn’t want to get shoved in front of a subway train?
“THEY KNEW...”
...she was prostituting herself for them, which makes them her pimp.
No, Buzzfeed’s Smith won’t comment about her “sources in the middle of an unjustifiable leak hunt.”
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
They don’t need “training.” They are young, willing and able. #BeingZoeBarnes
The publishers don’t need to say a word to the reporters. All they have to do is reward the ones who get the info, and fire the ones who don’t. The ones who are left will be the ones who are willing to do whatever it takes to get the scoop.
If she was banging one guy for info, she was probably banging several, which her emails and phone records will reveal. And each source probably had several reporters doing the same. A bit of digging, and you can unwind the whole network of sex and corruption.
