DOJ Reneges Commitment to Provide Trump Russia Docs to Congress

The Department of Justice reneged on a commitment to provide access to documents they promised to congressional lawmakers by Thursday morning. Instead, DOJ issued a press release after midnight suggesting they will only meet with a group of select lawmakers to discuss the matter on the same day the North Korea summit opens in Singapore, according to numerous sources and a DOJ statement.

Moreover, the Justice Department also issued new stipulations for briefing congressional members and limited the meeting with only the Gang of Eight, which is comprised of eight leaders within Congress who are briefed on classified intelligence matters.

This like everything else reeks like a 3 day old homicide scene. Whatever they’re hiding it’s gong to come out.

I can only conclude that Pres Trump lets the DOJ get away eith this for a reason. He could order them to turn over the specific documents.

My question to myself is why he doesn’t order it.

The reason should be obvious. Trump’s own party doesn’t support him. Look at Ryan and Gowdy gleefully back stab POTUS recently.

Simple solution via a Trump tweet that says:

“I hereby order Jeff Sessions and Rod Rosenstein to provide the full, unredacted documents requested by Representative Nunes and Senator Grassley as part of their Congressional oversight by Friday, June 15, 2018. Failure to turn over these documents, as directed by the President of the United States, shall result in the immediate termination of both gentlemen at 5:00PM in June 15, 2018.”

Congress can impeach and convict any federal officer.

I don’t want “resignations”. I want “firings”. When they are fired, you can seize all their office items, their cell phones, Iphones, computers, discs, anything at home that is govt-work related, and strip them of their security clearances FOREVER.

Might also be able to hold up any retirement plans, pensions, etc. due to “an ongoing criminal investigation” as well as “contempt of Congress” charges.

Now, I wonder if the President, by issuing a direct order against the individuals, can have them arrested for failure to comply with an official order by the POTUS?

Since he can do this to a military officer, as he is CIC, he should be able to do this as the chief executive officer of the US.

Time for Trump, Nunes, Grassley and the others in Congress, to hit these leftist bastards all at once, with every legal weapon at their disposal, along with US Marshalls to give the suspects a bit of a hustle in coughing up everything they have.

I also wonder if the President can order the Treasury Dept. t put a “hold” on all their paychecks, pension payouts, etc. until they are either convicted of a crime or cleared of a crime.

I also wonder whether Congress, by holding them in contempt, can also ask or order Treasury to do the same, or whether they would have to ask the US Treasurer and/or the President to cut off their money.

Won’t know until it is tried and by God it is damned well time that we tried.

Congress can impeach and convict any federal officer.

The U S Marshals service is under the control of Sessions and Rosenstein.

I hope this isn’t merely a play for time. I hope they’re not clinging to the possibility that the issue could be buried in sensational news and events within the next week.

I hope they realize they aren’t saved in the event of Trump being dethroned in any manner. This train ain’t stopping.

Interestingly, today’s indictment of a Senate staffer for leaking information to the media actually reinforces the DOJ’s stance here.

No oversight of State spy agencies is how you get a police state.

Go back and read what I posted in #53. What is REALLY the best way to get this information out to the public with the most devastating impact on the malignant players in this debacle?

HINT #2: There is one person outside the DOJ bureaucracy who is in possession of unredacted documents related to Mueller's investigation that Congress has demanded from the DOJ. Who is it?

Let's look at this whole thing differently ...

If you knew that members of Congress and/or their staff members were targets of a criminal investigation by the DOJ, would you be sitting here calling for the DOJ to turn over documents related to that investigation to Congress?

This is the outcome when lawyers have all the real power. The justice Dept dictates terms to all branches of government. The level of corruption in the legal system is simply unimaginable. Think about it, some crooked blackrobe in Hawaii, that nobody has even heard of, has the power to paralyze the COC just by constructing a few lines on a piece of paper stating Trump is not in charge of immigration policy.

If the DOJ turns over a single document to the House committee demanding this information, one of the first people to see it will be that unctuous dirtbag Adam Schiff.

Isn't Rep. Schiff one of the "gang of eight"? So, he is going to see the docs even if they are only shown to the gang of eight.

This whole thing reminds me of the movies where the hero cops (Nunes, Meadows, Jordan) track the killers down and go in for the bust, only to find they nearly ruined eighteen months of undercover work designed to lure in the big fish.

I want some of what you're smoking.
