Special counsel Robert Mueller filed a superseding indictment Friday against former Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort, and added Russian citizen Konstantin Kilimnik as a defendant.
The superseding indictment lodged by a grand jury sitting in federal court in Washington, DC, came days after Mueller asked the judge in Manafort's case to revoke his bail and jail him because of an alleged effort to tamper with witnesses.
This is a breaking news story. Please check back for updates.
I thought once a GJ returned an indictment it was over except to refine typos and such.
Not saying Manafort isn't a bad apple but it shouldn't come under Mueller's investigation. This should be handed off to DOJ.
So Freeper Legal beagles. Is this a move to get out of Ellis’s court and in front of a DOJ lap dog Judge?
What does “superseding indictment” mean?
Begs the question, who fills out their welfare and EBT applications? And does a "jury of peers" apply to grand juries? In what sense are these jurors Paul Manafort's "peers"?
Please, someone humor me. What are the “charges” against Manafort?
First questions; how many years before the Trump campaign began did this alleged “crime” occur and does this Russian actually exist or is he another fictitious character?
Desperate times calls for desperate measures.
It was a public threat to anyone attempting to go up against these mobsters.
Just the fact Trump is exposing and going after this epic historic criminal fraud, makes them the big losers. It was never supposed to happen. He was never supposed to be president.☺
Didn’t some lib predict that Manafort would be jailed by Friday for witness tampering?
Well, there’s 9 hrs and and 23 minutes left in the day.
Let’s see if it happens.
Depends on the meaning of the word obama, AKA defecate.
I understood that perfectly, and had to suppress a LOL since I'm in an office right now.
You have "a way with words"...
Don't ever change...
Hilarious - had to read it the second time to get it!
Interesting timing. Someone gets indicted that leaked against Trump then someone who aided Trump gets indicted the same day.
I think Manafort knows that he will probably be pardoned.
It was a public threat to anyone attempting to go up against these mobsters.
I've often thought that rather than Schumer's statement being a generality, it's more likely that Schumer knew exactly what the Obama regime and the heads of the FBI, CIA, DOJ, IRS, and others had in store for President Trump from the get-go.
That would seem to make Schumer a co-conspirator, wouldn't it...
For all I know, Schumer is the ringleader of all this given the fact he’s aided and abetted radical anti-American leftist policies for years.
Trump should mandate the release of all relevant documents in this Russia collusion case about 4 - 6 weeks before the November election for maximum impact.
Witness tampering is alleged.
I can see how this went:
Manifort: Hey Sergy, I was indicted for that money you paid me on behalf of the government of Ukraine.
Sergy: So.
Manifort: I want you to be honest with them if called and tell them exactly what the money was for which you will recall had nothing to do with the Trump election since it happened 11 years before.
Sergy: No problem as that is all true.
Indictment probably alleges that Manifort had the above conversation and in it he was telling Sergy to lie by leading him to state the actual facts because in 2005 trump told him he might run for president some day.
Is that the smell of desperation?
Blood from a turnip.
