IMO the decision to snatch Elian Gonzalez and forcibly repatriate him to Cuba cost Gore that election. Likely ticked-off Cubans in Florida were the hanging chad margin of difference.
Yup. Algore was a lousy candidate. Maybe not as bad as Hillary, but pretty bad. One only needs to look at the first two debates.
