There’s nothing wrong with the casting decision. She’s a fine actress, the dialog blew, but she didn’t write it.
That sounds like conspiracy theory nonsense.
Unfortunately that also describes a lot of FR posters too anymore.
Was on a southwest flight and the male flight attendant was doing his announcements and mentioned his mom and ‘bama. As i was getting off I asked if he was Auburn. He said yes and I replied “thought so. roll tide.”
The actor playing Finn is not "African-American." He is a British subject.
Regards,
Probably his finest role.
If you're a fan, you'll like it.
I don’t agree with harassing this person, but her character and acting were indeed aweful.
However, I think that the role was a stinker, and doubt even a great actress could have sold it.
First saw him in "Attack the Block", playing a black punk in a British ghetto. That was a great sci-fi horror movie, and he did an excellent job playing a bad guy who became a hero. Yep, British.
Be sure to search through Chad’s YouTube videos for his “Tide Pods” commentary. That’s the one that made me click the “Subscribe” button.
Perhaps either of you can explain why someone with barely a career outside of Youtube was injected into the mix at such a late date into production - with such exclamation ?
Her involvement at that level makes no sense at all.
Maybe she had outstanding skills on the casting couch.
I have watched several Asian movies that did not feature a single American actor, and I enjoyed them. My favorite is Hero with Jet Li. That was an awesome movie!
I’m not sure why our people would think that they have to cast an Asian in order to attract an Asian viewer. It’s the subject matter of a movie and sometimes the talent of the actors that attracts me, not the “diversity” of the cast.
I had seen another movie on Netflix or Amazon a while back. It was a horror movie shot in Hong Kong or maybe Korea, I’m not sure, but all of the main cast was American, and I was like WTF, they are so out of place in this movie. Why film there if you’re going to feature Americans? I don’t get it.
I enjoy KDramas, and frankly, I don’t want to see Americans in them.
Because they chose her. Really other than Alec Guinness and Harrison Ford the original SW cast was a bunch of nobodies and also rans. As for the “exclamation”, there are people who like getting less non-white faces on the screen. Her level of involvement makes as much sense as Mark Hammill who had 1 (one) voice roll pre-SW.
The actor playing Finn is not “African-American.” He is a British subject.
You mean that guys isn’t made of cardboard?
I have a feeling it’s gonna be requited.
Rey’s gonna be smit’ with Poe (cool!) or BenRen (eww!).
Just my guess, as good as your’n,
and yeah... I’m a fan...
Heh, I thought she was “cute”.
That looks...”pretty” :)
“Hamill’s early career included a recurring role on the soap opera General Hospital,[9] and a starring role on the short-lived sitcom The Texas Wheelers.[10] He portrayed the oldest son, David, in the pilot episode of Eight Is Enough, though the role was later performed by Grant Goodeve.[11] He also had guest appearances on The Bill Cosby Show,[12] The Partridge Family,[citation needed] Room 222 and One Day at a Time.[citation needed] He appeared in multiple television films such as The City,[citation needed] and Sarah T. - Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic.[citation needed]”
