That must have been quite an experience!
A good rule-of-thumb for travelling:
Take half the clothes you think you need.
Take twice the money you think you need.
;-)
Thank you Kathy!
You got that right! I’ve learned to pack all I need in one bag, plus a carry on for my makeup and laptop. The important stuff. LOL! My years in the clothing business taught me how to use my wardrobe well, as in mix’n’match.
Good evening, Luv...you MUST try to pack a bit lighter.
LOL! But....but....I might NEED that stuff! ;)
Hope you’ve had a good day today with no drama!
Good evening, Robert A Cook, and thanks for adding to our road trip information.
AWESOME!!
A long, jamb packed day, but no drama.
But tomorrow will be a bear....we are way behind.
Aw, man! I was hoping that they had hired some more for your team so you could slow down a bit!
Did you ever get any rain? We got a bit last night, but we’re soooo far in the hole, it will take a lot to catch up!
Welcome to the Canteen, Othniel, and thanks for sharing such wonderful experiences of your younger days.
We did get a new person, but we also picked up a new company to do their payroll. And we found out it isn’t our boss getting new companies, it’s the bigger boss. But he has no concept of what it takes.....just that it gets done, and why do we need overtime. I am not pleased with management.
A Saturday downpour of about 15 minutes. Glad you got at least a little rain.
((HUGS))Good morning, Ladies. Thanks for this morning's thread, Lauren. How's it going?
Oh, brother! Upper management sux!
I have always thought that they need to spend time “on the line” as it were to see what havoc they cause when they just willy-nilly make decisions without considering what it takes to get things actually done! *spit*
Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,
THANK YOU
for your service!
Been out at the garage giving Baby its long-overdue Spring Cleaning. Haven't done the first car show this year and it's time to have the car ready to go.
My dad went out to Edwards several times during his years working as an aeronautical engineer at Arnold AFB here in TN. I don't know much about the things he worked on because he wasn't allowed to discuss it - - top secret stuff and all.
But I do have a photo taken of him giving a lecture at Edwards and in the group was Neil Armstrong. Dad loved that photo because he was so thrilled to meet Neil. Some of the work he did helped put man in space and on the moon, so meeting Neil was a big deal to him.
Stuff Happens.
Wow! I’ll bet your dad had some great stories....of the ones he could tell!
