Its always something to hear a over-privileged millennial actress complain about how hard it is to live in America.
But the politically charged actress Shailene Woodley didnt mince her words in an interview with New York Magazines Vulture. In the standard attempt to promote her new film to a woke audience (after all, progressives are the ones Hollywood wants to entertain), she talked about her experience getting arrested for protesting the Dakota Pipeline, her year spent on probation, and her politics. Woodley told interviewer Amy Nicholson, Its tricky to live in America right now.
Oh please. Is that $1.3 million paycheck from your hit HBO show weighing you down? Or maybe its that your former boss Bernie Sanders didnt win his presidential bid. Either way, sure must be tough dealing with all that oppression.
But the progressive movement, though. She launched into her sales pitch for far left-wing people to run for office -- shes thinking of doing it too! -- complete with motivational talking points. Its an exciting time for progressives anywhere to run for office, she said. Ultimately, our government works for the people -- as much as we pretend that they dont, they really do -- and we have the power to change everything .We, the People are the ones to make a difference.
Dont forget that key word for a Hollywood actress--feminist. Woodley can call herself a feminist all day long. Even though a few years back, the Divergent actress told Time that she wasnt a feminist, because I love men. Interestingly enough, the public outcry against her denouncement was apparently strong enough for her to take it back...since, after all, that statement was made in a different time of feminism.

Poor little snowflake.
LOL. No idea who she is, and not even enough interest to Google her. Just another perfumed princess spouting nonsense and thinking it’s somehow important.
Mmmkay.
Woodley starred opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Oliver Stone's biographical thriller Snowden, in which Gordon-Levitt portrayed Edward Snowden. Filming began on February 16, 2015, and Snowden was released on September 16, 2016. Owen Gleiberman's review said that Woodley "gives a performance of breathtaking dimension: As the movie goes on, she makes Lindsay supportive and selfish, loving and stricken."Woodley then took a break from break from filming for nearly a year, stating in a later interview that she "had hit a wall with acting."
In 2017, Woodley starred next to Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon in the HBO limited series Big Little Lies. Woodley was also slated to star in the film Adrift, with Baltasar Kormákur as director.

So she hasn't been on TV since 2016, and (her own words) her acting career has hit a wall.
But hey, Owen Gleiberman loves her, so it's not a complete loss.
Well, she was on probation so yeah, that’s tough while somehow managing to get hbo to pay you YUGE money. Just how bad would it have been if she had been on an ankle bracelet. Then she would have had something to whine about. ;-)
[[ My age is showing. I have NO clue who 99% of these “famous” resistors are.]]
I don’;t either
‘Stars’ today don’t hold a candle to the stars during hollywood’s golden era- today’s ‘stars’ are whiny snowflakes who think they can change the world with their idiotic political agendas
Stars of yesteryear stuck to the business of acting and knew that being political was harmful to their careers- Even if they were liberals, they kept their political beliefs to themselves-
Who?
Who?
UR not alone.
Don’t have a clue and wouldn’t buy one -
not even one ‘on sale!’
“Star” my ass. What an embarrassing article..I’m so damned glad that I don’t know who these so called “star” are.
Move out to some other nation, you will not be missed.
Ill join you. I dont know who any of these wildly overpaid narcissists are either.
It’s only tricky living in America if you are a lunatic liberal.
Guess we just ain’t keepin’ up with “POP culture”. My days of caring about being nuanced..... oh, wait. I never cared about being nuanced. LOL!
If I could wave my magic wand, I would transport all these celebridiots to Cuba and have them live there for a year.
How many stars of the olden days actually did military service? Jimmy Stewart flew 20 combat missions and earned a slew of medals.
Even Elvis joined the Army, for gawds sake.
These little snowflakes claim PTSD from having to listen to a Trump speech. Eff em.
They would never see the REAL side of cubar.
