A man who called police on a group of black women golfers accused of playing too slowly at a Pennsylvania golf club denied to dispatchers that he was acting out of racism.
In one of two recordings of 911 calls to police, the caller says the group was "holding everybody up" and one of the women accused the golf club of racism.
The caller told a dispatcher, "We have a tough situation here with a group of golfers that decides they don't want to abide by the rules."
Asked if the gofers had any weapons, Chronister said: "It's even worse than that, but anyway I can't ..."
He then said no weapons were involved "other than her mouth."
The York Daily Record reports that Chronister told the 911 dispatcher that he knew Thompson.
"She ran for judge. She's an attorney. She knows it all," Chronister said. "She totally thinks we're being racist. We're not being racist. We're being golf course management that has to have play moving a certain way."

“What rule was the women violating? “
The “ common courtesy” rule, like not cutting in line at the bank or sneezing in someone’s face——the rules of a civilized society.

Some people think that they can patronize a business and then make up their own rules. When a customer is engaging in commerce with a business, there is, at the very least, an implied contract—if not a formal one—that the patron(s) will abide by the company's policies on etiquette and protocol while the patron is on company property.
Now if the company (a golf course in this instance) failed to delineate their policies regarding proper course etiquette, then that is the company's fault—despite the fact that a different patron knew what proper course etiquette entailed...

At starbucks the two black people refused to make a purchase in a store that had a sign that said you need to make a purchase to stay in it. *************
Didnt know that. Thanks for the post. You're welcome. The Media likes to hide things like that cause they take away from their waycism narrative . In a random act of journalism UPI reported it (no one else did)

Take out a smartphone
Start taking video
After a plausible time, yell a warning to the inconsiderate golfers and proceed to play your shot
Keep video on
Proceed to play next shot and when closer to the group verbalize golf etiquette by either instructing group to pick up the pace or letting the golfers behind you to play through
Call cops only if threatened

Many neophyte golfers who are not playing with an experienced player—as I suspect these women were—do
not educate themselves regarding widely accepted (but subtle) standards on golf course etiquette, and may very well not have known they were violating the decorum of standard play.
Any time one or more noobs visit a golf course to play a round—and are unaccompanied by an experienced player—it is incumbent on course management to review proper course etiquette with them.
This incident could very well be the course management's fault. I'm saying this (of course) without having read the entire article...

Most golf courses have written/displayed rules for the pace of play. Many have course rangers that are charged with keeping the pace up. If you fall behind the group ahead of you, you can be asked to sit it out and let 1-2 groups behind play through.Slow play is the bane of golfers everywhere.

Common courtesy for starters And how was that not displayed? Did they refuse to allow the party complaining to play through? Were they loud and boisterous when the complaining party tried to putt? What?

They were slowing things down at a golf course. That infringes on the rights of others. They should know better. Did they refuse to allow a faster party to play through?
