It’s gonna take a VERY long time for that to happen. No way am I sitting outside for more than 30 seconds in that heat and those mosquitoes. But, I’m not giving up on him!

LOL! Can’t blame ya for that!
You’ve got the summer to get him comfy with short scratching sessions and he’ll be ready for lap time by the time it cools off again. :-)

She’s a precious one, she is. Sweet as can be and not afraid at all of all the others here. She made herself right at home immediately.
Yes, you’re right. She has a forever home here. :-)

I keep hoping they’ll lay in the grass. St. Augustine feels cool underfoot even when the temp. soars. I guess they’re doing what they can. Now tonight my two are out. It’s still 87 degrees at 1am. WY sounds better all the time. LOL!

Good evening, radu....how are you fixed for thunder and lightning and rain?
There are signs of a little rain, so I decided to wait til tomorrow to water again.
AJ is supposed to come tonight or tomorrow, so I vacuumed. LOL!
I did a little food shopping, but he will be on his own going forward if he can’t find something to sustain him. He thinks he will be working in town for a while and then go to the slope.
After I got home my screen guy called and said he could come “now”. The screen for the sliding door onto the deck is really old and has several tears and doesn’t slide for anything. I keep using WD-40 and it helps, but I’m tired of messing with it. So, he came and measured and in a couple weeks I’ll have a new screen.
Then as soon as I sat down at my computer my computer guy called...he has lost the connection to take care of it remotely. So I followed his instructions...type this, type that, etc, and my desktop is now connectable. He lives in Las Vegas now and usually does what he needs to do during the day while I’m at work.

Meanwhile, I sure hope Black Kitty’s kittens aren’t outside, or they don’t stand a chance. :’(

As long as they have water and shade, they should be ok. I hope so any way. Can’t even cool off much at night, can they, when it stays so warm. You’re warmer now than we were today. Ugh!

Time will tell...so far I’ve heard a lot of “this is how I did that”.
We will see how it goes. She seems really motivated, so there is hope.

Hey there, Kathy.
We were fixed right up for rain, lightning, and thunder this evening. Lightning was streaking across the sky right overhead. It was beautiful, even if I had to stand on the porch to watch it as it was raining pretty hard. More rain and storms in the forecast the next few days.
It would be nice if you could be lucky enough to get rain too. A good soaking would help make the grass seed sprout.
That’s right. I forgot AJ is heading up there tonight. It’ll be nice to have company for a little while before he heads farther north.
Sounds like a pretty good day, the latter part any way. Getting the screen dealt with at last and your computer doctor is connected again.
Got ice cream to celebrate with? LOL

Yeah, it would be nice to know where those kittens are. They don’t need to be out in that heat at their age.

Well, we’ll just keep our fingers crossed for luck that she works out well. And say a few prayers. The three of you can’t keep up the pace you were hammered with the past few weeks.
