Trump wishes he hadn't picked Jeff Sessions for attorney general
CNN ^ | May 30, 2018 | Veronica Stracqualursi and Allie Malloy

President Donald Trump said Wednesday he regretted choosing Jeff Sessions as attorney general, a continuation of the President's frustrations over Sessions' decision to recuse himself from the Russia investigation.

Quoting Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-South Carolina, who noted on CBS earlier Wednesday that Trump "could have picked somebody else" for the position, Trump tweeted, "I wish I did!"

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump ....There are lots of really good lawyers in the country, he could have picked somebody else!” And I wish I did! 8:47 AM - May 30, 2018

Sessions little stint at Justice produced a Democrat in Alabama and a rogue special prosecutor

Can the Senate President (VP Pence) walk in, rap the gavel and pronounce the session adjourned?

I'm not an expert on the subject. But I believe any single senator can object and force the issue...no one has.

“Wrong”

No, not wrong, this is something entirely different than a recess appointment. Trump can appoint an acting AG who can begin serving immediately pending confirmation, so long as they have already been confirmed for some other Executive branch position.

Read the relevant statute:

Oh, baloney! Mueller can claim Trump isn’t being investigated all he wants. He’s looking under every rock and rill of TRUMP’S campaign. Despite the glaring criminality of the Clinton campaign, he’s going nowhere NEAR her. If he were interested in discovering crime, she’d be the focus of the investigation. It’s a witch hunt, involving the wrong witch!

If Trump had not appointed Session atty. gen., then liberal Doug Jones would not be the U.S. senator from AL.

“The howling Sessions bashers don’t care and are already threatening to split their wrists.”

Guess you’re including Trump, eh?

If he didn’t pick Sessions, we would not have a Democrat Senator in AL and Mulehead would have been reined in long ago.

There is also the possibility that a slew of Democrats would be serving time. A remote possibility, but plausible.

People who think that Trump is lying in his Sessions tweet(s) are delusional beyond repair.

Trump NEVER lies in his tweets.

Except about Sessions, right?

Just dumb. They want Q to be right sooooo bad, they don’t believe Trump.

(facepalm)

I’m impatient, but I think you’re right.

The IG report is one of several things that has to happen before the fireworks show can begin.

While we, the people, wait for the long promised show to start, the behind the scenes crews are doing what must be done first so that things can happen as they are supposed to.

What we do see while we wait reminds me how, in war, we are to:

"Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak."
― Sun Tzu, The Art of War
And so, Sessions is silent. Trump tweets outrageously, while the media blusters, struts and rages and the audience murmurs.

I hate to see him bad mouth Sessions esp when Sessions supported Trump at the beginning and should be given credit.

He was just the designated backup plan.

so long as they have already been confirmed for some other Executive branch position.

And of the few Trump appointments that have been confirmed by the senate, who could step in and head the doj? Unless a judge could be put in that position, there is no one that I know of.

An AG’s job is to enforce the laws, not to have the president’s back.

Or not enforce the laws as has been the case concerning immigration. If people don't think that Obama controlled Justice and FBI then they are just naive.

In hindsight, I wish Trump had not picked Sessions for AG. I was really mad when Rudy refused to be AG. Now he admits it was a mistake. But at the time, everybody agreed that Sessions should be rewarded for being the first and most solid Republican Trump supporter. It is just a rotten shame Sessions felt the need to recuse himself. It has been disasterous.

Sessions really needs to resign, since he cannot fulfill his full job functions at Justice.

One of the original Q-team chan members/bakers outed the hoax. He explained all their motivations and even how they worked the ‘proofs.’

What’s very interesting is that exactly when this confession letter started gaining traction, Q went silent. Were they shamed into abandoning the deception, or are they regrouping?

Time will tell.

mcconnel has not put the senate in recess since Trump became president.

He can send the VP over to take his place as President of the Senate and put them in recess despite McConnel.

It is not that. The old rumor was that the Senate would not confirm ANY replacenent for AG, and you would have acting AG and traitor Rosenstein running everything at Justice. So the thinking is, having Sessions do half the job is better than Rosen-weasel screwing up everything.

Once again, the GOP-e cuts us off at the knees.
