Roseanne Barr, the sitcom superstar fired by ABC Tuesday over a racist tweet, did not react well to statements released by her Roseanne co-stars Sara Gilbert and Michael Fishman. Gilbert, who played Roseanne Connor’s daughter Darlene — and who reportedly was responsible for the sitcom’s reboot — condemned Barr in a widely-circulated tweet Tuesday.
“Roseanne’s recent comments about Valerie Jarrett, and so much more, are abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show. I am disappointed in her actions to say the least,” Gilbert said.

I still want to know how the statement was racist to begin with. Nah, just a rhetorical question. Everything is racist, everything is hatred to a leftist.

Roseanne touched the ‘third rail’ in commentary. Comparing a person, who even has one drop of Black blood, to an ape, is completely verboten in Obamaland (and yes, our country in still under the control of Obama’s minions). The fact that Trump received any good commentary from Roseanne guaranteed that she was on the ‘watchlist’. I never watched Roseanne, before or now, but her career is over......for as long as she endorses Trump.
Roseanne is a liberal. She was a liberal before the show and she is still one. So was the rest of cast. It as all a Disney show to divide. Never make liberals the champion of your team.
Sara Gilbert is the plainest looking women I ever saw on tv. Roseanne made her rich and well known.

But in a perfect example of “Orwellian Doublethink” the same Leftists would condemn a person who advocated teaching Creationism or Intelligent Design rather than Evolution in our schools. They want to teach public school children that we are all descendants of apes and primates, but it is racist to suggest that someone resembles an ape.
The real crime is that Jarrett is a radical Leftist who has profiteered from her public appointments and promoted pro-Arab and Pro-Islamic policies which have been detrimental to the USA.
Who was laboring under the perception that the rude tweet reflected the opinion of the cast? What people needed to be informed that it didnt?

Who knows what Gilbert actually thinks about political and racial issues. She simply can’t be seen to support Barr’s remarks.
Gilbert is pretty vocal about how she feels on issues, like most Hollywood types.
How about nothing? It's not like she was being interviewed or anything. Why kick the person you owe your entire career to while they are down?
Oh if Barr had only taken that advice we wouldn't be having this conversation.
She is not Persian. She was born in Iran to American parents, who were both black.

Agreed. And if Gilbert hadn't taken advantage of Roseanne's screw up to virtue signal we wouldn't be having the conversation either.
That is incorrect...her parents are black and even though she was born in Iran she is an American.
