Residents of a Florida city who received alerts about a power outage were also warned to look out for zombies. That's right zombies.
The Palm Beach Post reports that Lake Worth residents received the message during a power outage Sunday.
The alert warned that more than 7,000 customers lost power "due to extreme zombie activity."

They are trying to walk back the fact that a group of about 25 zombies were found fried to a crisp... Those were throw zombies. The power company always keeps a couple dozen around to toss down to explain an unexplained power outage. The real cause was probably vampires.

In your
comment #16, is that video from a southern U.S. border camera?

I love it when they hack into traffic warning signs. That is provided it does not pose a danger.

One recently happened in Pa. but it is happening all over the country. Just search "zombie traffic sign" on bing (I don't use google).

I wonder if the word “zombie” is a goofy place-holder for other words such as “thunderstorm”, “heat”, etc.? And they forgot to change it? (Hmm - Florida - “python activity”?).

I saw that movie for the first time the other week (1936 - The World to Be or some-such name by Orson Wells. Very interesting movie.
I almost wonder if “The Walking Dead” isn’t modeled on it. Zombies, all the various warring tribes, a helicopter appears out of nowhere, a modern region unaffected by the turmoil....
Another thing. The movie, from 1936, obviously most folks knew that the world was almost at war again with Hitler. In the movie the war lasts for 30(?) years. Obviously the use of atom bombs messed up their view of the future. But a cool, foretelling movie.
BTW - many animals DO become zombies. Perhaps humans to a degree infected with rabies. I first pointed this out when the Walking Dead came on and my kids were young. My kids still remember me hearing about the show, and wanting them to watch it with me. “Yeah - we thought it was going to be another one of your lame shows. Who would have thought that we would be buying t-shirts, posters and going to Comi-cons!?” (Them - not me!)
