The 17-year-old suspect in Friday's shooting at a Texas high school killed a classmate who turned down his repeated advances, killing her first in his deadly rampage that also killed nine others, according to the girl's mother.
Student Shana Fisher's mother told the LA Times that junior Dimitrios Pagourtzis gave her daughter "4 months of problems" before Fisher rejected him publicly in front of classmates.
"A week later he opens fire on everyone he didn't like," she wrote to the newspaper. "Shana being the first one."

What’s new is that instead of having fathers to teach these boys how to behave like men, we have psychiatrists levying heavy drugs on them and schools telling them they are inherently bad because they’re boys.

Pagourtzis was 17 at the time of the crime, he can’t get the death penalty under the Supreme Court’s 2005 Roper v. Simmons ruling.

It seems to me that what a lot of these murderous young men have been missing IS a strong, positive father figure in their lives.
Is he currently, or was he ever under the care of a psychologist or psychiatrist?

The Supreme Court only prevented him from getting the death penalty, he’ll still get life in prison, and at his age, he may be there over sixty years.

As I understand it, Life in Prison without the possibility of Parole is off the Table if you are a Minor.

I’m not sure, but we don’t seem to have heard about any kind of prior ‘record’. (As I understand the ‘Promise Program’ it was designed as an intervention to reduce recidivism. He probably didn’t come under that radar.)
However, I’d be interested in knowing about any psychiatric treatment involving drugs, in this case.
