Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) warned Republican lawmakers on Friday not to expose the identity of top-secret FBI informant, saying that to do so would be "irresponsible" and potentially illegal.
"It would be at best irresponsible, and at worst potentially illegal, for members of Congress to use their positions to learn the identity of an FBI source for the purpose of undermining the ongoing investigation into Russian interference in our election," Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, said in a statement.
"Anyone who is entrusted with our nations highest secrets should act with the gravity and seriousness of purpose that knowledge deserves," he added.

Yes, if there’s any classified information to be let out, the Democrats want a lock on doing it.

Step 1. Warn Republicans not to out source.
Step 2. Next week some democrat outs the source.
Step 3. The next day some democrat cries that the Republicans have leaked the source and points out that the democrats warned about this last week.
Easy as pie and the MSM will eat it up and spread the “new”
scandal for the next two weeks.

Let the swamp media spin it how they like. The important thing is that the source would be doxxed.
This is apparently has the deep state rattled.

After all the illegal acts we have witnessed the past 4 years, and this pompous ass tells Republicans what is illegal?

Oh, so NOW they’re concerned about leaks.

Releasing his name would be a supreme act of patriotism. I suspect it actually
is widely known, and hopefully it's only a matter of time.
If Sessions were the mole, I would not be surprised. Remember that weasel John Dean who worked for President Nixon?

Senator, no one should be above the law. No matter if the embedded spy was a Special Agent (which I doubt) or an informant, he violated laws in place from the beginning of this nation and face the consequences.

According to Sen. Warner, any FBI agent of staff member of the DOJ, is automatically above the law, even if he/she/they committed a crime?
Warner is fearful that if the FBI agent is outed, that the names of others that colluded in the crime might get outed too. Most likely, Warner is fearful that the other FBI names involved are not FBI at all, but are members of the Hilary campaign and the DNC and Obama administration and even democratic members of congress.

Liberals lost their war against The Deplorables. Now, it’s past time for Liberals to reap what they sowed. Criminal Investigations into sedition and treason, indictments, prosecutions and then it’s Gitmo time.
