DORAL, Fla. — An armed man was shot and wounded after he shouted about President Trump and opened fire at the Trump National Doral Miami Golf Club in South Florida early Friday, the police said.

The authorities did not immediately describe a motive for the attack at about 1:30 a.m. in the marble-floored lobby of the club’s hotel, which is owned by the Trump Organization. They identified the suspect as Jonathan Oddi, 42, and said they believed he had acted alone.

(Of course they did not miss a chance to slur the right, commenting about a Instagram post he made. You know, the usual, implied with no connection that he was a right wing nut case.)

“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of shooting that took place early this morning at the Trump National Doral Golf Club in Doral, FL,” it said in a statement. “Special Agents from the Miami Field Office are on the scene and working closely with our law enforcement partners.”

Authorities also said they are not ruling out terrorism. Police told WPLG that the suspect repeatedly called 911 and was actively shooting in an attempt to draw authorities inside.
