Pennsylvania Primary Election Results By THE NEW YORK TIMES

Mango wasn’t on the GOP sample ballot. I think a lot of people who haven’t kept up rely on that to vote.

Oregon is one nut case state.
Sorry for double post. :.(
The GOP just WON a DEM held House seat in Washington County in the Special Election.
Tim O’Neil is leading by 10 points with all but 16 precincts reporting.
I knew the campaign was dirty, but the allegations against Wagner were that low and nasty from Mango? Say anything to win.
Why ping the NY slimes?
Same info here from the PA Department of State but without the libtard whining:

Our hometown guy from York County will take on the other hometown guy from York County, Democrat Governor Tom Wolf, this fall.
His base is in the suburbs, and that really shows. Barletta’s base includes a lot of working-class Democrats. Despite any flaws they may have, they are effective advocates for Pennsylvania first and foremost.
The voters have delivered a candygram to Mongo.
I know nothing about PA politics, but your post makes me smile! A dem loss is always a good thing.
There were three special elections in PA tonight.
HD-48 was held by a Dem who left to become a judge. This is the seat that the GOP picked up by a huge 10 point margin.
HD-68 was held by a Republican and the GOP held that seat by a massive margin.
HD-178 is a D+1 seat previously held by a Republican. The Republican has a very, very slight lead there right now, but it is way too early to call.
Without MAGA/non traditional Trump voters motivated and excited, no R is winning PA statewide with the obvious D enthusiasm gap. I would love to say otherwise, but just like I knew Trump was winning the White House and going right up the upper Midwest/rust belt to do it, it’s just as obvious that the GOP is not going to overcome the enthusiasm gap that the D’s have without the MAGA/Non traditional R voter and the GOP has not given those people any reason to care let alone show up...
If the D’s stupidly run on impeachment officially this will motivate that group in spite of the GOP incompetence, but the entire GOP ecosphere has proven it has no idea how to motivate and hasn’t even bothered trying to talk to those voters.
November is all that matters, but I cannot lie about my assessment of the situation at present. And just as sure as I was Trump would march up through this region in 2016... I am sadly confident that short of the scenario I laid out, the GOP not win the senate or governors races in PA this fall.
Are we? I’m in Pike County. Chrin is pulling away.
Republican Primary
CANDIDATE VOTE PCT.
John Chrin
10,029 51.2%
Joe Peters
6,378 32.6
Robert Kuniegel
3,185 16.3
19,592 votes, 64% reporting (253 of 394 precincts)
Excellent analysis.
I just like to believe Lou Barletta has a really good chance at unseating Bob Casey.
Actually, in 2014, the Democrats got about 130,000 to 180,000 more primary voters (depending on the office) than the Republicans. So this year, the Republicans are doing MUCH better. Might be the lack of competitive races for Senator and Governor, so I wouldn’t read TOO much into it. But looking at recent primary turnout results in Indiana, Ohio, Penna, etc., it’s hard to figure there’s a blue turnout wave. If the electorate looks like it did in 2016, there’ll be a red wave.
mischievous headline, with apologies to the great author:
Barletta wins GOP nod for PA governor; Tom Wolfe dead.
DOH! Scott Wagner wins GOP nod for PA governor; Tome Wolfe dead.
*Sigh* I give up.
Thanks for your info!
Fingers crossed for HD-178.
