A gunman who targeted a group of families gathered for a Mother’s Day celebration at a school in Brazil was fatally shot by an off-duty cop. Katia Sastre was praised by local officials for her bravery and was credited with saving the day.

I found it funny the way the punk was holding the gun up in the air, gangster style.
He also had a look on his face like he was completely surprised he got shot!

Only....the woman was armed only because she was a cop. Here, citizens have access to CCW. A major difference.
She knew what she was about.

Considering he got shot at point blank range, I’m surprised he lasted as long as he did.
An off-duty cop. Her moves showed she’d had training. One helluva job officer.
In Brazil only the criminals have guns besides the military and police. The public is defenseless and intimidated. This fellow thought he owned them.
Yeah, she knew enough to kick the gun out of his reach and pick it up so no one else could get it.
And she certainly was not shy about using her foot to get the guy to comply and knew how to position him.
I want her as my next door neighbor.
Which is exactly why we need the Second Amendment.
Brazil used to have a healthy gun culture, but in the past few years there has been a massive effort to disarm the populace.
I watched it closely several times. Good shoot but almost violated rule 4: Be sure of your target and what is beyond it. Notice how close the other mom got close to being directly behind the perp. Fortunately, not close enough to also get hit. The video really does bring home the reality of using a gun of self defense.
Stay aware, stay locked and loaded, stay safe.

His facial expression also could have been a manifestation of pain after having been shot from a distance of two feet with a .40 caliber pistol. But he was also probably a bit surprised as well. ;-)
I thought the same thing. I cringed at how close the mom and kid were behind the gun lady's target. Maybe they were farther than they looked in the video--or, likely, just far enough.

Neither perp survived.
Notice his shirt, with the "13" on it. She's saying "Your number is up!". Plugged him in the chest right through the "13". Then hits him twice more. He's on the ground moaning "No more... why me...". Justice served, instantly. Good ending all around. In Brazil, cops are encouraged to be plainclothed because criminals are targeting them. And good citizens are disarmed, something that is not right but leftists want to happen here in the USA.
Later died. I should think so. She shot him point blank in the left side of the chest with what looked like at least a 9mm ot .40.
Saw it, must have been a lung shot.
