The Los Angeles Times Editorial Board endorsed former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa for Mayor on Thursday saying he should be California’s next governor because he “showed political courage in hard times.”
Villaraigosa is currently trending in third place behind former Chicago resident and San Diego businessman Republican John Cox who would make it to the general election if he finishes in second place behind frontrunner Democrat Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom.

You think in a Deep Blue state like CA Villaraigosa should be able to win handily.
Dems have a guy each from SF and LA, the two big liberal gorillas in the state.
And one is running in third in a state where Democrats far outnumber Republicans!

The Villaraigosa endorsement is actally good news in that it means the Republican will likely make the cut.

If you can find it listen to Adam Carolla’s podcast when he had Newsom on a few years ago. Just a worthless Rat hack to the bone. Back then Villaraigosa’s name was Tony Vallar he changed it and changed it back for obvious reasons. CA loses either way.
Gay Newsome has the teachers union working for him and public education seems to be a wedge issue... Antonio Villaraigosa favors more charter schools.

Hernandez -Lt. Governor
Becerra -Attorney General
DeLeon -US Senate (defeats Feinstein)
My fondest recollection of Tony Villa is his standing at the podium of the 2012 dnc convention with that stupid look on his face when he had to re-poll the attendees who went off-program to deny God three times.
He finally had to get some female bigshot to tell him to just ram through their fake recognition of God in the party platform.

Travis Allen seems the more conservative candidate but Cox has the upper hand now. We will see......
