The devolution of the Never Trump publication National Review took another move to the left with the publication of a column calling for conservatives to surrender on the issue of transgenderism. Columnist J.J. McCullough is not only calling for conservatives to cave to a ruinous lie, he is smearing conservatives as nasty bigots.
“[I]t feels we’re still in the immature, demagogic phase. In some quarters, it remains fashionable to act theatrically repulsed by transgender people emphasize their weirdness, and make populist appeals to the preposterousness of women asking to be called ‘him’ or surgeons amputating penises and so forth,” he writes.
Not done with us bigots, from on high he writes that, “Part one of the compromise will be borne by cultural conservatives and traditionalists. It asks for broad tolerance for the reality that transgender men and women exist, and are entitled to basic human dignity, just like everyone else.”
McCullough’s Orwellian demand is, if so requested, we blithely agree to identify biological men as woman and vice versa.

This is just another pile of sh#t column from Nolte.
Why do advocates for transgenders always focus on women becoming men when it is pretty obvious that it is almost always men (who are actually fetishists) becoming women? Transgenders, drag queens and transexuals almost always imitate a kind of camp woman that went out of style when Joan Crawford died. In the rare examples of women becoming men, they end up looking like Broadway stage hands for Frozen. In other words, they have no clue how to be the opposite sex because they are NOT the opposite sex. They only know how to imitate a cliche of the opposite sex.
And the author ain’t feelin’ the love over at NR - that ruin of civilization.
I’m very curious about how NR’s circulation numbers are doing. We used to enjoy that magazine.
As far as I can tell (and I’ve been reading NR nearly fifty years) NR hasn’t changed its position on any gender issue. One columnist wrote an article which several others disputed within the website.

Of course. On the other hand, we don’t want to be forced to accept that abnormal behavior as normal. It is sick and people desiring it should see a doctor.
Secondly, I do not want it around children and women. The innocent children being exposed to the perversion and the “better half.” There is too much crap in the world these days that pull people in with innocence lost. And once innocence is lost, there is no going back. No return.

Being gay is PERFECTLY LEGAL in Russia.
But recruiting kids to that ‘lifestyle’ was made illegal under Putin about 5 years ago. This means that kids can grow up in peace, like most Americans were able to do, until 20 years ago.

For most of my life I happily anticipated my next issue of National Review. I confess to being a little disappointed when they came out as Hillary Clinton shills, but I knew other conservatives that did, as well.
It seems like today they are trying to evolve back to an area where Trump can accidentally stumble into doing something right.
Nevertheless, it is sad to see a NR article saying mental illness is to be accepted.
For most issues I still think NR lands on the right side. The editors can do Clinton shill damage and transgender mental illness damage in no time that can take years to fix. My physical NRs are not huge magazines. It won't take too many looney takes on issues to displace the readable stuff. That will make NR unreadable.
John Nolte is the author of the Breitbart column calling out National Review columnist J.J. McCullough for labeling opponents ot transgenderism as bigots. Nolte is one of the good guys.
Seems to me on homosexuality, Mr. Buckley advocated tattooing AIDS victims, lol.
The sad truth is that they are fed lies — if you just do this or that, all will be well and you will find happiness.
Unfortunately, for them when they finally realize that they were lied to, it is too late and they are neither man nor woman but an odd creation.
It is sad too that, with those promises, comes the hope that the opposite sex will treat them as normal and they can have a normal life. This will never happen because nature dictates how humans think and heterosexual humans desire other heterosexual humans.
