Bombshell WSJ report suggests FBI had a mole embedded inside Trump campaign

A new bombshell report reveals that the FBI may have had a mole embedded in the Trump campaign.

In an opinion piece published in the Wall Street Journal on Thursday, Kimberly Strassel unpacked some stunning developments in the battle between the Department of Justice and House Intelligence Committee members.

House Intel Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, D-Calif., and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., received a classified briefing at the DOJ on Thursday, viewing classified documents about a top-secret intelligence source that was part of the FBI probe of the Trump campaign.

According to Strassel’s Wall Street Journal piece:

The department knew full well it should have turned this material over to congressional investigators last year, but instead deliberately concealed it.

House investigators nonetheless sniffed out a name, and Mr. Nunes in recent weeks issued a letter and a subpoena demanding more details. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s response was to double down—accusing the House of “extortion” and delivering a speech in which he claimed that “declining to open the FBI’s files to review” is a constitutional “duty.” Justice asked the White House to back its stonewall. And it even began spinning that daddy of all superspook arguments—that revealing any detail about this particular asset could result in “loss of human lives.”

This is desperation, and it strongly suggests that whatever is in these files is going to prove very uncomfortable to the FBI.

Nunes could not view the information because it apparently “could risk lives by potentially exposing the source, a U.S. citizen who has provided intelligence to the CIA and FBI,” The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

“This would amount to spying, and it is hugely disconcerting. It would also be a major escalation from the electronic surveillance we already knew about, which was bad enough,” Strassel noted. “Now we find it may have also been rolling out human intelligence, John Le Carré style, to infiltrate the Trump campaign.”

“I believe I know the name of the informant, but my intelligence sources did not provide it to me and refuse to confirm it,” Strassel wrote. ” It would therefore be irresponsible to publish it.”

“But what is clear is that we’ve barely scratched the surface of the FBI’s 2016 behavior, and the country will never get the straight story until President Trump moves to declassify everything possible,” she concluded. “It’s time to rip off the Band-Aid.”

I’m not even a big fan of Sessions. I haven’t spent much time talking about him (and Rosenstein) because it’s clear to me that there’s a lot going on behind the scenes that we’re not even aware of.

May I remind you that congress has had to threaten Sessions with contempt of congress in order to get him to respond to their LAWFUL requests for information in connection with their oversight duties. He was obstructing congress and thwarting a legitimate inquiry. That’s VERY serious stuff my fried.

Sessions is protecting someone and hiding something big.

I’d accept their extinction without the qualifier.

History is brutal to the faint of heart.

I also believe it’s Sessions. But at least he bequeathed his own aide, Stephen Miller, to Trump, and I’m glad for that.

" “It’s time to rip off the Band-Aid.”"

Does "Band-Aid" refer to a person?

Who is serving as a band-aid, a temporary cover for a wound?

Just calling things the way I see them

Based on all the times you used the word "maybe" in your post, it looks more like you're hoping upon hope for the best case scenarios, when we have so far only seen arrests and raids of Trump staff, and no deep state.

It's fine if you want to dream or try to be positive, but ler's not lose track of who's actually being arrested or raided so far, eapecially since that is so amazingly one sided. See my tagline before gou answer again please, thanks.

like having gun dealers sell guns to criminals and terrorists hoping to keep it secret and expecting to instigate rules to ramp up gun control. 2500 untraceable (assault) weapons.

I only used “maybe” in regards to the Cohen raid - I do believe that Sessions is not deep state and has Trump’s trust and Trump’s Session bashing is just a show.

We all have opinions, I could be wrong or you could be wrong - we’ll see what happens.

I could be wrong or you could be wrong

Well I'm certainly not wrong when I state that all the arrests and raids by the DOJ/FBI have been of Trump associates, and no Democrats or Deep State, am I? Will you admit that I'm correct or do you have evidence to the contrary?

It would go a long way toward explaining a lot of curious things about why Trump was able to pull off such a stunning upset in the 2016 election. Just to name a few:

Seriously? Like he could possibly hide polling data in Wisconsin or Michigan?

Hillary lost because she's a f***ing idiot. This electoral college crap isn't hard. Trump's path to a win is pretty much narrowed down to having to pick off some critical states. Block him in any of those, and he's done.

She didn't look at or didn't believe polling information coming out of critical swing states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, and so forth. She thought they couldn't possibly vote for Trump because they hadn't voted Republican in a long time.

She was a lazy idiot. It's that simple.

This has been a coup since he was nominated.

It's been a coup since 1860.

They need to be defeated. By any and all means.

You are correct. It would be better if we could preserve the (real, written) Constitution of the United States without 25 million far-left losers as casualties, particularly considering that we would also lose (as a minimum) hundreds of thousands of decent people. However, freedom must be preserved, protected, defended, and passed on to the next generation, regardless of the cost.

That’s a pretty complex story line. Especially given the fact that the people mentioned in your scenario are corrupt emotionally stunted drunks.

I suspect you are correct with what you wrote in your first paragraph. Not so sure about the rest.
