Morrisey is too conservative for McConnell. He likes wishy-washy republicans like Jenkins, who actually campaigned for Hillary Clinton. If Trump wanted a conservative to win he would endorse Morrisey. But since he thinks people won’t vote for Blankenship (they will), he could care less which of the otber two prevail. Trump still refuses to believe that McConnell despises him and wants him impeached as bad as the democrats want it.

Blankenship says wonderful things like “ the Cine people” instead of the word Chinese. He’s made false accusations about cocaine smuggling about Yertle (and I ain’t a fan of the turtle but truth is truth). Just like Roy Moore good old Dam doesn’t care about WV or the country or Trump. He is a self aggrandising thief and von artist. All he cares about is his own power. His ego drives him and nothing else

Guaranteed if Dan is the candidate WV stays dem

If Blankenship is “like Trump,” how is it than that Trump did not endorse him?

Didn't WV have an small town of only a few thousand where 1.2 million Oxycontin prescriptions were written over a few years without any major notice until recently?

Maybe most folks are a bit on the leeward side down those take-me-home country roads... so's to speak.

And no, we don't learn anything as a species. This is why few of us live with any sort of freedom around the world.

So go ahead WV, give the election to Joey Man-Shumer-chin.

Blankenship’s candidacy is as off putting as the concept of the play ‘Springtime for Hitler’, except this election isn’t a comedy on a stage being played for laughs. It’s serious shit.

No, actually I have not.

I am not for him. I was passing the observation he is a heavy duty coal man and may derive much support from that position

I agree. No way a convict guilty of some kind of complicity in the death of miners is going to beat Manchin in West Virginia.

Bull shit. The man killed people for money. If that’s your idea of a “conservative” then clearly you moral compass, assuming you have one, is in urgent need of recalibration.

Probably not since he went to jail over his and his company’s malleable in a mining disaster that killed miners

He was the boss. He and his company had a shady way of buying politicians.

Watch just one of His commercials......

This is good news. Most think not, but if he can bring this kind of momentum , he will blow the socks off Manchin. The populist movement which elected PDJT is still very much alive in West Virginia, and it is the bane of men like McConnell and Ryan.

If you want to be a traitor to THE TRUMP, you go right ahead.

Trump say's not to vote for Blankenship. How many times to you need to be told?

I support Blankenship. Like Senator-in-Exile Roy Moore, he is a GODLY man who has been unfairly persecuted by the DEEP STATE and the ENVIRONMENTAL TERRORISTS. He is a blood and soil white warrior for the TRUMP and speaks in the tribal REALTALK. I deem any disapproval coming from THE TRUMP - all by “unnamed sources”, y’know - to be the FAKE NEWS.

So why'd he go to prison?

I voted for President Trump and would vote for him again.

But I’ve opposed Trump supporting Luther Strange in Alabama and Mitt Romney in Utah.

I’m not sure about this one but the people in West Virginia will make their decision tomorrow.

This is politics, not beanbag or some freak-a-zoid purity test for conservatism. How freakin' dumb do folks have to be - right after the Roy Moore fiasco - to nominate a blemished candidate.

I mean, this dude is so tarnished he could pass for a hundred year old brass candle stick.

President Trump is trying to Roy Moore this Blankenship guy.

All President Trump needs is a guy who will vote "yes" on his judicial picks and "yes" on his agenda items. He will get this with most any Republican in the race. He just needs the Republican to win! This is why he's going to support the candidate he thinks has the best chance, even if this candidate may not be the darling of his base.

We can't force stupid, lazy, and smug voters to put down "Reality TV" and do 30 minutes of research. We can't force voters, whose minds have been destroyed by grievance to think logically and vote for the most conservative candidate, who can win. But we can end the travisty of open primaries, which allows non-Republicans to chose Republican nominees.

I had read somewhere that Blankenship was the only one of the GOP candidates that could defeat Manchin.
