Trump 'Committed' to Iran Regime Change, Giuliani Says Days Before Nuclear Deadline
President's lawyer and confidant calls regime change 'only way to achieve Mideast peace and 'more important than an Israeli-Palestinian deal' ■ Rohani warns of 'historic' mistake

WASHINGTON U.S. President Donald Trump is "committed" to regime change in Iran, Trump's lawyer and confidant Rudy Giuliani said on Saturday. The unusual statement comes just days before Trump will have to make a dramatic decision on the fate of the nuclear deal with the Islamic Republic.
Giuliani, the former New York City mayor, said at an event hosted by an Iranian opposition group in Washington that regime change in Iran is "the only way to achieve peace in the Middle East."

Here we are still engaged in regime changes, and yet crying over the possibility that russians bought ads on Facebook in the last election.
Agree 100%
Iran is one of those few Islamic countries where regime change is unlikely to make things worse. I don’t know whether this is more #FakeNews, a negotiating position to keep Iran’s government off balance, or President Trump’s real position, and I’m glad that no one else is likely to be certain either.
Because it's worked out so well for us in the past. </sarcasm>
Giuliani appears to be as senile as Sessions. We give Israel $5 billion a year and sell the Saudis billions in weaponry to take care of their business, yet they still attempt to enmesh us in their regional squabbles. Trump ran on no more useless and incredibly expensive wars over there, if he goes back on that he’s gonna lose a lot of support.
During his talk to the NRA, Trump referenced Iran’s younger folks getting tired as hell of the standing “leadership”....maybe he envisions giving them a bit of hope instead of the crap from the last Admin....
We’ve been hearing the same sh!t since 1979. Those “Iran’s younger folks” are now almost 60 years old.
Always younger replacement generations coming along - Obama told them to take the future into their own hands and then left them high and dry when they thought he was offering support...Trump’s acknowledgement of them isn’t an accident.
You’d think a guy dealing with a threatened “regime change” here in the U.S. would be a little more hesitant about meddling in the affairs of other countries like this.
I’m a fan of Rudy but he shouldn’t go there. I am not at all convinced that the president wants to overthrow any of the nuts who run the mideast. He knows that it doesn’t help but often worsens the situation. Why all his spokesmen (with the exception of Sarah) go off point is beyond me.
Giuliani is another camera hog. He should NOT become the face of the Trump presidency.
As soon as he spoke out the other day he proved himself untrustworthy with classified info, IMHO. He is no longer the mayor. What is it with telling the leader of a nation that pretty soon we’re going to work on a plan to take you down?
This is obamanation worthy. Ditz. Is he a democrat?

Correct on the former, correct on the latter.
Regime Change.
There, said it.
That is the real solution to the Iran problem. Iran has perhaps the most overtly anti-American regime in the world, while it has the most pro-American population in the region (after Israel). Free Iran!
Regime change in Iran would finally clean up the signature disaster of Jimmy Carter’s Presidency.
In a fair world, it would result in President Trump’s second Nobel Peace Prize.
What we really need are regime changes in degenerating Europe.
He’s been involved with them for years. He’s made lots of money from them giving speeches. So has Bolton.
There is a significant fear among Iranian people that the U.S. will use MEK to try to bring down the regime. MEK is despised in Iran, though their spiritual cult leader M. Rajavi has done her best to try to convince the world that there are hundreds of thousands of followers in Iran. There are not. They are viewed as traitors to the average Iranian because they turned on their countrymen & helped Saddam kill Iranians.
The fear is that with U.S. backing MEK, Iran could very well result in Iran becoming another war-torn Syria.
Yes, regime change in Iran would benefit the entire world. But not by trying to do it with MEK.
I think the people would be fine with someone bombing Khamenie’s house and the majlis (parliament)while it was in full session, and the IRGC headquarters. After that, let the people take over.
Kerry, Clinton, Brennan, American communists etc sure aren't paying for all the protests, signs, buses, organizers, Hollywood Stars, hush money, greased hands etc. etc. etc...out of DNC money. Those folks are broke.
And Soros is watched like a hawk ... Worth considering the unthinkable...
Can you elaborate on MEK please? You speak of its importance. Yet. I have no sense of what it is, its history, the preference of the ‘general’ Iranian’s spiritual belief. I’d love to have more context for your post.
