Just in case somebody think that Xi is an enlightened ruler and no longer a communist, he may have to revise his view.

There’s over a hundred million people who would like to disagree, but cannot.

Imagine what China would be like if they had studied the teachings of Jesus.

Communism lacks several important elements, the greatest of which is individual motivation to grow and succeed.
There is a modified form of government I refer to as communalism. The big difference is that people work for the benefit of the community out of Love, not fear of consequences.

It may have been like “Taiping Heavenly Kingdom” sect, which grew out of Christianity. It is common that foreign religion is co-opted and combined with local religious practices to produce something quite different.

Actually the founder of this sect did study Bible teachings, but he convinced himself to be a brother of Jesus Christ and created his own cult.

Having visited China several times (first visit 1980,most recent visit 2015) what strikes me about my most recent visit is that you can see glass and steel buildings and traffic jams in central Guangzhou and then travel 10 miles south and find people living like so many in Africa do (I've seen *that* as well).
China,IMO,is a country of a few thousand millionaires,a few hundred billionaires and about 1.2 billion people living the same lives as their ancestors of 1,500 years ago.

He has to say this. Marxism is the only thing that gives his regime even the appearance of legitimacy. He doesn’t rule with the consent of the people. He doesn’t rule with the consent of the gods, or God. It is only an ideology that no one really believes in that legitimizes his rule. If he abandons Marx he’s gone.

No... most hippies become greedy yuppies.
There is another alternative, but it must be based upon spiritual focus and spiritual values.

Those pictures are chilling. Yet they remind us of how close to the edge we came in the US...Is there any doubt we'd have several similar celebrations this year if the 2016 election came out differently?

Marx made a HUGE mistake in positing that man is motivated only by materialism
In fact man is motivated by the need for freedom and liberty supported by materialism.
For this reason socialism and communism has failed repeatedly and continues to fail. Marxism is nothing but an excuse for the totalitarian state. It will never support the pursuit of happiness or a more perfect social union that has freedom as its foundation.

China was a fertile ground for Christian evangelicals until the advent of Communism. Even today Christianity flourishes in China especially where it is most bitterly oppressed. Pray for the Christians of China. Marx will be overthrown in China.

As Hillary and the Progressives are learning, Marx cannot exist in a society that places personal freedom from government intrusion as its first protection. See I and II of the BOR.
