Federal investigators have wiretapped the phone lines of Michael Cohen, the longtime personal lawyer for President Donald Trump who is under investigation for a payment he made to an adult film star who alleged she had an affair with Trump, according to two people with knowledge of the legal proceedings involving Cohen.
It is not clear how long the wiretap has been authorized, but NBC News has learned it was in place in the weeks leading up to the raids on Cohen's offices, hotel room, and home in early April, according to one person with direct knowledge.
At least one phone call between a phone line associated with Cohen and the White House was intercepted, the person said.
Previously, federal prosecutors in New York have said in court filings that they have conducted covert searches on multiple e-mail accounts maintained by Cohen.

I don’t understand why there has been no push back from anyone other than a few commentators. This situation is truly frightening. The President’s legal team should consider filing an emergency suit with the appropriate federal court or SCOTUS to protect attorney client privilege and the presidency.

Right. I read that Guiliani was upset with Trump for calling Cohen after they raided Cohen’s office, mostly because he assumed that someone would be listening.
Trump has the patience of a saint, because before now, I would have declassified and dumped everything from soup to nuts on everyone in DC.

It hardly seems likely there was some great need to target and go after Michael Cohen let alone raid his office and residences.
Yet, here we are and the DNC Media is celebrating along with their Leftist cohorts in “the Resistance.”
This is like the worst Stasi movie never made. It’s completely out of hand but I suspect it’s the last ditch efforts before the tables are turned.
It’s obvious the death shot attempt came with the OIG Report Pt. 2 bearing down on them with release mid-May anticipated.

I think the story went....The President called Cohen and Cohen said he was likely being tapped and not to call there again.
They (the permanent Deep State...Totalitarians, call them what they are), will not stop this until they are forcibly defeated. They are boxing in Trump to leave only two options - defeat them through means that will lead to civil conflict, or surrender. They believe they can make him surrender. It will be up to the people to convince them otherwise.
This is appalling. I wish they went after real corruption with as much vigor as they go after Trump and the people around him.
Hannity’s constant refrain of what great people there are at the FBI and our other much vaunted law enforcement agencies is growing very thin.
They would NEVER EVER have done this to ANYONE associated with Barack Obama.
Even in movies they disconnect the phone taps when privileged conversations are overheard. I’m really stunned to see how far they are willing to take this thing. As many said just after the election, BAMN (by any means necessary), thus “the resistance”.
