Daily resort fees and parking charges are rising and spreading in Las Vegas, adding as much as $45 a day to visitors' hotel bills. The publisher of Las Vegas Advisor blames the extra charges for a recent decline in the number of visitors.
"Everyone hates resort fees, but the parking [fee] is even worse," said Anthony Curtis of Las Vegas Advisor. "Everyone wants some kind of comp, [and] the most basic comp is free parking. That was the one comp that everyone got."
The Advisor, a decades-old, monthly newsletter highlighting what's new in Vegas and featuring deals for visitors, provides lists of parking costs and resort fees across southern Nevada.

yes the train. Ontario and Burbank to Barstow. One line Barstow to Vegas. Gamble on board. Paid for by fairs and hotel taxes in Vegas, taxes on gambling wins on board. Too obvious.
Could be nobody wants to pay the Hollywood entertainment!
One of the good things about my kids leaving home is I don’t have to go to those damn theme parks anymore!!!
Now that Steve Wynn’s all but gone and the board has mental midgets like Dee Dee Myers there, you can expect things to start going downhill in Vegas from here on.
Plus Nevada in general is going full California politically, and that’s always bad for business.
Finally, seems that there are casinos popping up everywhere, so people have an alternative.
Say what you will, but that’s why I really enjoy visiting Europe, where you don’t need a car, and public transportation is reasonable.
I see! One misses so much by rarely leaving home. However, I will check for resort fees in future if I stay somewhere.
It doesn't look like the Country Inn we stayed in a couple of weeks ago, on the way to the coast with the Cub Scouts, had a resort fee.
Lol! We haven’t paid for a room in years.
Wife and I like to get away from everything at least once a year. We need some down time, some “us” time, and time to study and pray together. A 5-day stay there is about right. And we are comped. We stay at the Station casinos, especially Sunset Station, next to Galeria, Walmart, good food. Parking is free. The hotel is large, and has the best race/sportsbook I know of.
We have driven to the strip a few times to see, say, the Jersey Boys at Paris, Kelly Clarkson at Mandalay, and the Lion King. Otherwise, we could do our entire stay right there in that customer-friendly neighborhood hotel casino.
We live in AZ next door, so the trip is just a nice drive for us.
But you guys are right — the strip and downtown are just a bad trip made worse.
What “stench” and “hawkers”? Maybe you haven’t been there recently but such is not the case. Don’t worry, though. It is crowded without you there.
The FBI’s Andrew McCabe was put in charge of the investigation.
No wonder the massacre is still unsolved.
Not buying the official “story.”
Well, stay in Corn Cob and look at your silos. It isn’t as bad as you portray, but it is crowded without you there.
About four years ago.
Are you guys whales? How do you get free room, unless you are in some special category of visitors?
It is good that you are not going there. You aren’t missed. With an negative, distorting attitude like that you must be a lot of fun to hang with.
If you are a veteran or currently serving, both MGM and Caesars will bump you 1 level on their players card tier. This gives you free self parking at most strip resorts.
Give me classic Vega$.
I hadn’t heard of the series you mentioned. Sounds interesting.
No kidding.
Anywhere decent is pricey.
