Meh. I joined Facebook to keep track of my family which spans the nation. We really don’t need it any more. All of my notifications are for people posting in groups of which I’m a member. i.e. it’s kinda pointless now. It’s sort of a vestigial organ.
I used FB to make evaluations when needed. People used to put their lives out there.
Now not so much. I cannot find most people out there, or only old info.
The only people in the US that I see that are active on FB are 30 to 60 year old single women with cats and dogs.
The day after 911, our CEO in SV asked everyone to leave the Americans alone to do what they needed to do.
Most went home for a couple days.
Things have vastly changed in SV since then.
Now if you want to keep your job and you are conservative, you just keep quiet.

Facebook is a commercial platfrom that will live and die by advertising driven by numbers and outreach
I can only encourage the 63 million Americans who voted for Trump to be “ woke” and not be included in the facebook audience or if you use it for social contacts to NOT BUY what is pushed on ads there
And be aware they are using it to spy on you

What’s needed is a “Red State” version of Farcebook! I mean really, who bothers to read comments on the platform anyway considering that so many of the people who comment on the platform are ardent Leftists pushing the so-called “Progressive” agenda. With the changes Facebook is making, it will be just another Leftist echo chamber and considering how its organized, its already pretty much useless as a news feed.
There are a LOT of open minded “Centrists”, “”Independents” and “Pragmatists” (realpolitik) who would enjoy a platform that provided a combination of “family and friends” and up to date newsfeeds from a wide variety of quality sources.
Time someone provided Facebook with some genuine competition!
Conservatives should flood the zone by creating thousands of FAKE profiles and filling-up Zuck’s servers with FAKE data.
That should give him a bunch of angry customers in pretty short order.
