"We reject efforts by anyone, especially our elected leaders, to paint journalism as un-American," WHCA chief says
Margaret Talev, president of the White House Correspondents' Association, opened the dinner with an address about the core of journalism.
"Real news is sometimes happy, heart-warming, or heart-breaking and critical or makes you angry. But we reject efforts — be it anyone, especially our elected officials — to undermine journalism as un-American," Talev said.

They’re the ones undermining journalism, with fake news, with drawing a conclusion first and then ignoring all facts that don’t fit that conclusion, and reaching and contorting with superhuman effort to prove the conclusion they drew in advance. I reject that as unspeakably obscene. These are not journalists, they’re hacks. They undermine themselves.

We owe Margaret Talev, President of the White House Correspondents Association a debt of gratitude. She chose “comedian” Michelle Wolf to deliver the WHCA message of hate and intolerance.
We no longer have to give the Press any benefit of doubt as to whether they are fair. They have a Plantation mentality, if you don’t think as they do you are held in contempt and scorned. The fabulous thing about last night’s correspondents dinner is that they revealed this all by themselves.

Yes they flashed their ugly posterior all over the TV Screen, for the world to see.
Now, those who watch CNN and MSNBC will never “get it”. They only see what they are told is real. They are incapable of grasping the reality of US journalism. The have morphed into Press-titutes, they do it for the money. Following the model of Fusion GPS at the reporter level and Joseph Goebbels at the corporate level.

Al Jazeera, Pravda, and Joseph Goebbels all come out as more believeable in my book than does NBC, ABC, SeeBS, PMSNBC, CNBC, SeeInIn, or any of the US news networks. Those first three lie, but the others make liars seem to be trust worthy people.

Correspondents make believe they are journalists. Few are really journalists. Real journalists should need real credentials. If you make the dinner the White House journalists dinner, make it "By Invitation Only" for credentialed journalists.
(Let the correspondents eat elsewhere and pay for their own meals. Maybe this should be contracted out.) Allow only one free invitation per news organization.
Stop making taxpayers pay for it?
Get it off US Property?
Assign the host the responsibility to pay for the speakers and their transportation? Make the off-site host facility responsible for proper security.

“I predict the end of White House Correspondents Dinner in the near future.”
Matt Schlapp, chairman of the American Conservative Union, was interviewed on TV today. He said he walked out during the trashy comedian’s vile performance. He predicted that next year there will be no conservatives attending that dinner.
