There already was a civil suit and he paid her 3.2 million. The judge agreed that the records were to be sealed.
The AP sued to have the records unsealed and the judge in that case (first Cuban judge, appointed by GHW Bush) ruled that because Cosby made that speech about morality of black youth that he became a public person, not eligible to have the records sealed, and therefore, they were unsealed.
The DA race in Montco centered on trying Cosby so it already was a political football. Of course, they had to try several times to get a conviction.
I meant to include the treatment of Diamond and Silk by the House Judiciary Committee Democrats as further evidence supporting my assertion that Blacks who begin their escape from the Liberal Plantation are attacked by Leftists, and always with the objective of destruction of the escapees.
THAT was the purpose of the disclosure about Cosby. His problem was that the accusations were true, and it benefited the attackers, and it also benefited the Black males who don’t want to support their children.
AND, the Leftists have achieved their goal of destroying him.
They care not a wit about the women, many of whom by the way, had already received a settlement from Cosby years ago.
While you’re at explaining how explaining the motives is defending him, take a gander at post 165 too.
Agreed, I’m happy about the verdict. The Cosby Show was one of my favorite shows, and it was so disappointing to find out that he wasn’t the good man he portrayed himself to be.
I doubt it. My bet is that years before these allegations were made, he set up irrevocable trusts and family limited partnerships that severely limit the victims' ability to collect. He might voluntarily pay out a few million to save on attorneys fees and protect against the inherent uncertainties of litigation, but he and his heirs are not going broke on this.

I agree with you. One’s brain has to be dragged to such knowledge. Bill Cosby was a beloved, admired American. We had to know that we didn’t actually know him. It’s tough to be that wrong.

Cosby was so famous and so beloved that even your best friend wouldn’t believe your story of you met Cosby and he drugged and raped you. Your best girlfriend would tend to think to herself, ah, you had an affair with Cosby, you’re embarrassed, so you are saying you were drugged. NO ONE WOULD BELIEVE YOU back then. Bill Cosby would NEVER do such a thing. Which was his cover.
And, again, is this proof of his ownership of a plane or that he chartered a private plane.
