On April 21 Breitbart News reported on a NRA-ILA statement which said Yeti Coolers had cut ties with the NRA Foundation.

The statement, written by former NRA president and USF executive director Marion Hammer, said, “Suddenly, without prior notice, YETI has declined to do business with The NRA Foundation saying they no longer wish to be an NRA vendor, and refused to say why. They will only say they will no longer sell products to The NRA Foundation.”

If Yeti really feels like that, then they should have NO PROBLEM with making a public appearance with Dana Loesch or some other NRA official to announce the new discount programs for NRA members. Easy peasy. Put your money where your mouth is, yetis.

"...far greater wrath..."

Thanks for the insights. The way I view it is essentially being perceived as betrayal.
Starbucks (for example) does not really annoy me with all their relentless anti-RKBA yammering. We continually expect it from them.
We already know Starbucks dislikes patriots, firearms owners, and the firearm culture. Yeti essentially surprised the marketplace.

Any standard cooler can be enhanced into YETI functionality by lining it with 1/2” foam board top, bottom and sides and wrapping the exterior in reflective insulation.

I have not purchased due to price and can’t see blowing up something so expensive.

Glad to see several alternative coolers recommended on FR. If I owned one...I’d re-lable with an NRA sticker also as suggested on FR.

"...traitors..."

Agree 100%. Yeti would be wise to have a satellite office at the NRA headquarters right about now!
Their wishy-washy lame response has me already aligned to Orion, Pelican, and RTIC coolers moving forward.

Why destroy a perfectly good item that you paid for with your hard earned money? I don’t get it.

Just don’t give them any more of your business and be done with it.

Sort of like “dicks” destroying perfectly good ARs. Now, THAT is stoopid. Could they have sold them to LEOs?

“Banastre Tartleton”

I lived in Guilford County not far from the Guilford Courthouse Battleground for 1/2 my life.

Local developers for 100+ years named subdivisions streets and roads after battle personalities such as Greene, Lee, Cornwalls, Tate, Sumner, Caldwell, etc.

Tarlton’s name was persona non-grata until a Yankee developer put in a subdivision in the NW part of the county back in the ‘90’s and named one of the streets after him.

The Walmart cups are quite good. That is what we use.

It would have been much more effective to flood the market with used Yeti products which would undercut the sale of new products.

“I gotta Yeti 110 iced down with the Silver Bullets!”

These guys, who managed to market high end coolers to blue collar people, apparently has an activist in their marketing communications department.

I almost guarantee that’s what happened.

Unfortunately, the fembot responsible can’t be placed on a pike, doused with tar and lit on fire for the market.

They are going to have to overshoot to make this right. The NRA is good, and they made it clear this wasn’t a mistake. Yeti was made an example of.

Good for them.

"...alternative coolers..."

Agreed. It is good to support patriotic pro-RKBA firms that never wandered away from flag-loving Americans in the first place.
Terrific cooler companies include: Orion, Pelican, and RTIC. Buy from them!

I have been to the memorial site at Cowpens. Later I read about the retreat of the British and Tarleton. Even though it was like 240 years ago it still makes one angry to read of how cruel and sadistic he was. I had even wondered why someone from America had not traveled to Britain to attempt an assassination. Maybe some did try that, but it is not recorded/documented.

whoops - I guess this is sort of a thread-jack.

Their wormy response mentions “hunters” twice in one paragraph attempting to convey support for the 2nd.

No sale, that’s democrat scum talk.

"...hunters..."

You are precisely correct, The Toll.
Some ridiculous leftwinger in their marketing department cannot bring themselves to say their firm supports ALL private firearms ownership.
So they offer this watered-down weak pablum about “hunting” as if they think that will trick us. Nice try, Yeti.

I know baloney when I see it. This is corporate CYA BS going on. The Austin kids flipped the NRA the finger and are hoping the REI crowd will support them.

It’s because people hate treason. If you were a second amendment type and you switch, you are more of a low life than a company that has always been in your face.

See also “Judas”.

“Why destroy a perfectly good item that you paid for with your hard earned money? I don’t get it.”

Because nobody would be talking about a cooler you don’t buy next year. Or one sitting in your garage that you refuse to touch.

But fill it with tannerite and put up a FU Yeti youtube video, and that hurts the business of the traitors.

I am sitting here holding my yeti. I didn’t know of this. It is the damn best travel cup I have ever had. Stays cold all day, when it drops, the piece magnetically reattaches, easy to clean, I don’t want to give this thing up.
