Cannabis is responsible for 91 per cent of cases where teenagers end up being treated for drug addiction, shocking new figures reveal...The findings also back up academic research, revealed in The Mail on Sunday over the past three years, that skunk is having a serious detrimental impact on the mental health of the young. At least two studies have shown repeated use triples the risk of psychosis, with sufferers repeatedly experiencing delusional thoughts. Some victims end up taking their own lives.

Fentanil is cheap as carp. That’ll calm ‘em down.
“But the fact is, irrational fear is one of the common first immediate effects of smoking MJ.”
I’ve never tried it and never will but that is exactly what my daughter told me. Because of that she’s done with it.
“Synthetic” pot and pot are not even remotely the same thing.
What is their treatment for grass use? Denial of munchies?
Of course they’re not pot head.
Lol, a FR thread about drug use is as absurdly entertaining as a FR thread about guns. A lot of people with almost no experience throwing around crap they really don’t understand.
It doesn’t have to be addictive to do long term damage to the brain of an adolescent user.
And yet, you conflate the two, dumbass.
Glad to hear it. You and your daughter are lucky.
Ken, so your point is that we cannot talk realistically about the bad/harmful aspects of pot ...because alcohol exists?
Solid argument. Go with that.
Odd non-sequitor.
Actual drug addiction or simply being taken to a clinic??
If you commit a crime and happen to be high or in possession, it suddenly turns into a drug issue.
It keeps the rehabs in business.
Goood post
Most here dont know the effect of pot except they dont like who smokes it where they live
In the south where most white people are righties of some order outside of hipster urban areas pot smokers tend to be like anybody else
Its like guns with liberals....
They fear who have them but know little about them themselves
Not a single twin study on animals or humans has shown any damage or any changes from even the highest concentrations of cannabis.
cite these studies. Seriously. One of the problems we have is that Americans have been prohibited from conducting studies on weed because of its schedule. Its why we have synthc. Please post links to this important research.
The same medical professionals are part of the gun control lobby, too. They hope to get everyone under their control someday.
Unlike many things, “experience” in drug use makes one less of an expert. Typically when I say pot is both addictive and harmful, it’s easy to tell who is really in denial due to the characteristic bitter and angry reaction. You don’t get that worked up about something unless you’re trying to convince yourself more than anyone else.
The worst I can say about it is that it can be very detrimental to motivation. Dangerous? No. Deadly? No. Nobody’s daughter smokes too much and gets raped at a party because she is dead stoned. Dead drunk, yes it happens all the time. And worse.
I don’t make light of it, but I will also call bs where it is due.
I’ve known some brilliant unmotivated people that made nothing of their lives. And that was a waste.
I like to think of it as part of a good plan.
“causing psychosis”
Bogus claim. Considering very few graduates today know the scientific approach and merely write for political purposes to receive grant money, I’ll wait until a peer reviewed research paper that follow proper scientific protocols has been published.
You might as well tell me there is global warming because some research grant says so.
