Cowboy, Firefighter Stopped Woman from Getting Sucked out of Southwest Plane

A cowboy and a firefighter were among the heroes who pulled a New Mexico mom back into their airplane after an explosion tore a hole in the cabin and sucked the woman partway out, according to reports.
The Boeing 737 carrying Southwest Airlines’ Flight 1380 suffered the catastrophic engine failure at about 32,000 feet up, an hour into its LaGuardia-to-Dallas trip, forcing an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport.
Mother-of-two Jennifer Riordan was pulled partway out of the plane when shrapnel shattered her window and the cabin began to depressurize, sucking her partway out of the plane.
That’s when a pair of Texans — Stetson hat-wearing farm real estate worker Tim McGinty and firefighter Andrew Needum — sprung into action.

how far was she sucked out of that tiny window?...the windows seem so small I don't know how this could happen..but surely, she must have died nearly instantaneously...
God send courage to her young family, and thank God for the brave men that tried to save her...

I knew a couple of the flight attendants who were on 811—one who held onto the stair railing for dear life while her body flapped in the wind like a flag until they reached an altitude where the cabin pressure stabilized. She suffered horrible PTSD from the trauma of literally holding on by her fingernails to prevent being sucked out of the plane. The other guy was in the lower galley when the cargo door blew out. His forearm was shattered when a 250 pound beverage cart flew across the galley and smashed him against the wall. Saw the pictures of the aftermath of that and it’s unbelievable what they went through and that the pilots were able to land that plane.
