I knew a couple of the flight attendants who were on 811—one who held onto the stair railing for dear life while her body flapped in the wind like a flag until they reached an altitude where the cabin pressure stabilized. She suffered horrible PTSD from the trauma of literally holding on by her fingernails to prevent being sucked out of the plane. The other guy was in the lower galley when the cargo door blew out. His forearm was shattered when a 250 pound beverage cart flew across the galley and smashed him against the wall. Saw the pictures of the aftermath of that and it’s unbelievable what they went through and that the pilots were able to land that plane.
