Dinesh D'Souza is an American patriot whose prosecution was politically motivated, targeted under the Obama admin for "exceeding campaign contributions". Tried & convicted under the campaign finance law by the sum of $20K, in a case involving no corruption, he was sentenced to 8 months’ overnight confinement, a substantial fine, mandatory psychological counseling and 5 years of probation and community service. No American has ever been prosecuted, let alone sentenced, for a crime of this nature involving no quid pro quo. Without a pardon, Dinesh is unable to exercise his right to vote or to legally purchase a firearm.
Dinesh's books & films exposed the corruption in Obama admin and showed how USA would have faired under Hillary Clinton's leadership. For his bravery he should be pardoned.

Still trying to remember Dinesh’s crime. I think it was something like ‘getting confused about campaign donations and failing to report accurately what money went where’ or some such.
I think President Trump needs to hear from Dinesh’s attorney, why Dinesh’s sentence was a political hit job, why a prison sentence was uncalled for when a fine and penalty would have been appropriate, etc.

No, he actually admitted to fronting the money for other donors as a way to get around contribution limits. This is not the same as Libby, who was innocent because those two wusses, Powell and Armitage, wouldn’t admit they were the source and let Libby take the unfair fall for them.
Dinesh did admit he was trying to get around the law. On our side, the ends do not justify the means. Dinesh is doing fine.

Not really sure. Guess it would depend on how he handled the original investigation, whether he tried to cover it up. Certainly he was persona non grata with the Obama Admin.
He might have gotten the standard sentence, while the Left’s goons get off with time served, but he certainly did try to circumvent the laws and did admit to it.
D’Souza’s real crime was digging into Obama’s past, and not only pointing out the utter lies of Obama’s public public biography (for example, that Obama’s supposed father was anything more than a beard for Stanley Dunham’s pregnancy), but also pointing out the roots of Obama’s destructive Marxism beliefs
It was embarrassing for Obama and his propogandists.
