Florida Gov Rick Scott Will Run for Senate

Florida Gov. Rick Scott is running for U.S. Senate in a challenge to Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson.

Scott, who is expected to announce his decision to take on the Democrat Monday in Orlando, called Washington “horribly dysfunctional.”

The Republican governor, a multi-millionaire who won the governorship in 2010 as a political novice, emphasized to Politico that he’s independent-minded, not to be labeled a “Donald Trump Republican.”

“I consider myself Rick Scott. I don’t consider myself any type of anything,” he said.

“I run on what I believe in. I’ve been very clear,” he added. “People ask me that a bunch of times, about ‘Are you this or are you that?’ No. I’m Rick Scott. I grew up poor. I believe in jobs.”

At this point, anything (almost) would be in improvement over bill 'ass-tro-NOT' nelson. He's been useless for a long time. Will Rick Scott be an improvement or just another knuckler when important stuff comes up. Guess we'll see. Nelson has a lot of support from john morgan of morgan and morgan in Orlando. YUGE lib supporter. And assclown.

Nope.

The only question about Scott is...Would he more duplicate John McCain, or would he more duplicate Jeff Flake?

We know who and what he is - that was made undeniably clear during George Zimmerman’s trial. The only question is how much of that degeneracy would affect the Senate?

So, who’s the pick then? Do you want bill ass-tro-NOT back up there? Is he ineffectively harmless and impotent at this point? Does he take his marching orders from john morgan?

Scott will be just like Rubio, a Democrat in an R jersey trying to make America into North Mexico.

He’s been equivocating on virtually everything for the past five years. He’ll fit right in.

Nelson can hardley get a clean sentence out of his mouth these days. His time has come, might as well be Scott he won’t be any worst.

No reason why he can’t be more of a conservative in the Senate if he can keep a lower profile as 1 of 100. If not he should stay there for 12 years. We can handle the back stabbing. If he gets too bad Florida can Flake him after 6. Case closed. Just remember how long Nelson’s been there.

😹. Well, we voted for him then left the state. Not sure if that means anything. Seemed good at the outset. But Nelson needs to go. Even if it's a "R" in name only for the time being.

Respectfully, for Florida Freepers …

Noting that governors have much more constitutional authority to serve their respective states than the federal government does, most federal social spending programs based on stolen state powers and uniquely associated state revenues, state revenues stolen by means of unconstitutional federal taxes, Florida FReepers please consider the following challenge.

Please ask Gov. Scott why the Founding States make the Constitution’s Section 8 of Article I and tell us how he responds.

Note the Supreme Court’s now-ignored clarification of Congress’s limited power to appropriate taxes.

"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States."—Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

But does Charlie Crist still run for every open office in Florida or has he finally given up on that?
