HONOLULU (AP) The house made famous in the "Magnum P.I." TV series has been scheduled for demolition.
Hawaii News Now reported Tuesday that a demolition permit was issued last week because the building is in disrepair.
The 8,900 square-foot (827-square-meter) Waimanalo mansion was purchased for $8.7 million in 2015 by Marty Nemolitsbitt.

Even at over 1/4 Mil a year for being Present-dent, how do you parlay that into over $2,000,000,000 in less than 8 years?

IIRC, I read somewhere that the beach on the property depicted in the show was actually a very small one, despite how it may have been presented.
A friend of my family was a crew member on Magnum. He took us on a tour of the set when they were not in production. We got a great picture of my mother on Magnum’s bed. Tht was not your average trip to Hawaii! LOL.
He probably sold a lot of books...?
He was the greatest President ever!
Where does Forbes put those hard-working, entrepreneurial go-gettersthe Clintonson their list of rags-to-riches zillionaires?
Through friendship.
Friendship is magical.
The article in question isn't stating Obama's net worth. It's saying that Trump's most lucrative years were during Obama's administration .... when Trump's net worth increased by $2.9 billion.
Talk about a picture being worth 1000 words..I sorta believe exactly what that dude said...
Old Chestnut:
When asking the ‘street creature’ why he was on the street, homeless, he replied...
“I was worth 10 million bucks, got drunk, ran into a bunch of loose women and fast talking dudes and just blew the rest of it” (Or something like that)
I live next door to Robin Masters. He’s doing fine.
Everything Obama touches turns to Rot
The local taxes were never considered, apparently.
Over the years the house was owned, the taxes paid would equal the house cost. Hawaii is an expensive state in which to live.
I saw it being featured in an episode of Columbo, featuring John Cassavettes, Blythe Danner (Gwyneth Paltrow’s mother) and Myrna Loy as guest stars. Another funny thing to recall about Benson was that it never stated where Benson, Governor Gatling, and the rest were but you could see in close ups of the house the tropical ferns and plants outside.
Pretty good for a $400k / year gig x 8 equates to $3.2mil.
He must get paid for each round of golf.
Not too shabby for a community organizer???
1) Been there
2) I want no contact with a state that can give us Osama Obama
3) Middle of nowhere
4) Florida's far better
1) I've been to both
2)I didn't see Osama Obama at either one
3) Hawaii (Kauai) had a diverse landscape and less humidity than Florida.
4) I can/do drive to Florida but am unable to do that with Hawaii.
5) I've had good seafood at both but Florida was cheaper.
6) In Hawaii they will steal everything but a red hot stove that is not nailed down.
A kickback?
Jed is still in good standing then?
Why not Hawaii?

Love the history...Pearl, Hickam, Schofield..well worth the trip. Other than that, a waste of time. The Japs ruined Honolulu by purchasing/developing every inch of land south of the Ala Wai canal...just another crowded town now....with a polluted beach.
