The number of unarmed citizens (262,000,000*) slaughtered by tyrannical (mostly leftist, Marxist, fascist) governments during the 20th century would come pretty close to wiping out the entire U.S. population.
Our founders understood the danger of runaway government power and tyranny, thus the constitution guaranteeing our God-given liberty and severely restricting the powers of government. And they included the 2nd amendment for good reason. An armed citizenry guarantees it stays that way.
No, the 2nd amendment is not obsolete and never will be. The God-hating, America-hating, constitution-hating leftists will NOT be repealing the 2nd amendment nor will they be taking our guns.
Why? They don't teach it in government schools anymore so the snowflakes pushing for repeal or confiscation are ignorant, but we know. History repeats.

If Trump gets a couple more SCOTUS picks we may be able to turn it around. If not and the leftists keep pushing, look for the militia groups to start forming. Real Americans will not be disarmed.

What about government sanctioned gun violence by the US government? Would not disarming Americans only increase gun violence against them?
Deerpark might as put up a big Gun Free Zone near the highway exits and on streets leading into it. A whole community of rich, complacent, unarmed residents ready for the pickings.

I have a poster detailing this same study, citing 262 million deaths in the 20th century alone due to democide, posted on my office door.
The genius of our free republic is limited government, government designed for and particularly limited to the protection of our unalienable rights.
Effective self defense personally and even against despotic government is an unalienable right, and even a responsibility. But, I do not use my poster of this only to argue for individually armed citizens, one point of the genius of these United States, though I do use it for that.
I ALSO use it because it argues, as is emphasized by your presentation, that big government (in language even the left can appreciate) is the biggest public health hazard that exists! It is a disease. Big government kills. We control it by our ingenious law first. Then we back that up with our arms.
We cannot lose either. Every time we argue for our rights recognized by the Second Amendment, we need to re-advocate for our strictly limited government.
This Orthodox Americanism needs posted over and over.
