You all, it's OVER. The Dems focus grouped this and it would have COST them the MID-TERMS.

I'm not posting to Breaking because I'm trying to watch the Par-3 contest at the Masters uh, finish a business plan...

They WILL try to provoke an incident.

"They" meaning the invaders, not the National Guard. I know that's what you meant, but some may take it the wrong way.

Keep these Central American and Mexican infiltrators from getting onto to US soil where they can make bogus asylum claims then get released into the US population. Keep all “unaccompanied minors” and women with children from getting onto US soil. This is what is needed. Same for pregnant women and everyone else.

The National Guard can help on this.

An interesting point in the DHS secretary's announcement and subsequent Q&A is that the military will likely build walls where bases or military land is on the border.

And replacing fence with new fence is being classified as "building the wall". Sorry, no, it is NOT.

They can provide support and help AT THE BORDER. They don’t need to be sitting around somewhere in the rear PRETENDING to help.

"Even Ann Coulter is going to like this."

You sure about that? I figure she'll find something about it to b*tch over. It's her nature.

The California National Guard will have to be Federalized.

Gov Brown will not accede to this.

I would assume that they would all have to be federalized to support DHS on the Border. I don’t think the Governors can active the National Guard to support a federal agency. Any discussion with the Governors is likely to just get them on the same page.

There is not one governor who will tell Trump to take the governor’s guardsmen because the governor doesn’t want to pay.

If Brown refuses to Nationalize the Californio National Guard then replace those units with Marines.

I doubt it, none of us should be. Trump said strong action to secure the border, then sends NG troops in a SUPPORT role. And not statement of how many? Plan is half baked, and I say this from the perspective that he says it is up to governors, which means Governor Brown in California. Does anyone see him agreeing to activate his NG?

If Brown refuses then deploy the Natl Guard to all southern border states EXCEPT CA.

unless there is some way for DJT to declare that we are being invaded and a full blown military presence is needed, welcome wagon is just about it.

oh sure there will be plenty of practice for the mil spotting people which will be useful overseas, but arrest and detention is still up to ICE and the courts, which, unless something changes, means business as usual for the drug cartels, smugglers, traffickers and random people from south of the border and China.

I’d rather just replace Brown....

If Brown refuses then deploy the Natl Guard to all southern border states EXCEPT CA.

In that case, he would have to deploy the guard between California and other states to keep the invaders there.
