“More eyes and ears are always needed on the border.”

I wonder why they don’t do a Civilian Augmentation Program (CAP) of some sort for the Border Patrol. They could hire security guards cheap to keep eyes on, get an alarm company to monitor sensors, have utility workers constantly scanning for tunnels, and things like that. They could plus up manpower cheaply, and free up uniformed officers for more search and arrest.

The Union is probably opposed to any non-union workers participating.

Remeber the old “help the Border Patrol watch the border” program? http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/03/12/border.security.cameras.immigration/

belonging to the union is voluntary...most support positions non-sworn are in the bargaining unit and can join or not. Supervisors/management is not.

In addition to sending some stopgap Military manpower as a band aid, we should deliberately stand up a permanent Military capability, that makes use of the Military’s unique capabilities, and hire civilian contractors (like security guards) for the simple tasks.

NORTHCOM should be tasked to establish permanent situational awareness along the Southern border, like they currently do for North America’s airspace in NORAD, and for our Maritime borders. Live data feeds could be shared with Border Patrol facilities, and even to officers on the move in their vehicles.

Maybe get a few dedicated satellites staring at the border 24x7. Maybe get the Air Force operators from Nellis AFB outside of Vegas to run their drones along the border areas, when they are not firing Hellfires at the Taliban - or stand up an extra unit just for the border, which could reinforce an overseas war in a pinch.

Give every one of the active Military Services, the National Guard and Reserves a border mission of some sort to prepare for. Let’s see what their Defense Contractors and Laboratories could dream up for them. Non-lethal crowd control weapons and a variety of robots for patrol and chase might come in handy.

“the military will likely build walls where bases or military land is on the border.”

The Air Force has 40-50 miles of border, running East from Yuma, AZ (Barry Goldwater Test Range). I guess it would also be possible to give the Military ownership or use of other Federally-owned borderlands, to prepare defensive facilities like small bases, confinement facilities, observation posts, defensive positions and barriers.

While we are at it, maybe the Department of the Interior could build barrier to the same specs when National Parks, National Forest or Indian Reservations have some International Border.

Or Department of Transportation could improve ports, bridges, canals, railways or roads along the Border with the same security infrastructure. Maybe the Department of Justice could pitch in with Prisons or grants of assistance to State or Local Law Enforcement.

Levy a tasking on every Cabinet Member to find a way to contribute.

Search “national Guard on the border pics”
and report back what you see. There are
many pictures of armed Nation Guard from
their past two deployments to the border.

Small arms will be admissible, depending
on assigned duties. Not all will be
allowed to carry. Some pics depict
practice runs, as you can see red tips
on the weapons. Some do not.

With a wall it is easy to pile up a bunch of dirt on one side unless it is constantly monitored on both sides. A see through wall is much more potentially effective.

PDJT is right to do this military deployment along the border. But no news outlet is writing the truth.

Here is the truth:

By International Law standards, Mexico is perpetrating an Act of War on the USA. This outlines what is at stake here:

“The 1500 man Honduran “caravan” on its way to the Southern border is more than it seems. Of course they will be denied entry. But this is intended by the US liberal fascist left to be the beginning os a refugee camp on the Mexican side of the border. Once it becomes a UN approved refugee camp, it will be funded by the Muslim countries who control much of the UN’s “refugee” program.

“It will then be only a short time before the men of that camp will be armed by Iran, North Korea and other radical Muslim States. One can see the Arab Spring hand of our magic negro community organizers at work. Mexico will sit back and allow it all, what have they got to lose? The entire Northern tier of Mexican states is controlled by Mexican gangs.

“PDJT has only a short time to act, but he has a weaponized FBI, DOJ and CIA. Who knows what will happen now? Our country cannot permit the establishment of a UN approved refugee camp on our Southern border. PDJT has either a military option or he must grant asylum to the 1500 and process them immediately. Both are only short term stop gaps.

“If PJDT can draw the attention of America to the incredible risk to our national security as an election issue, he may actually see the November election bring full Republican control of the Senate and the House. But that has its own uncertainty.

“These factors will begin to play out over the next few months. Congress will rue the day they ever refused to implement some kind of solution to settle the DACA issue. Now the rage of the American people is about to be felt at the polls. One can only hope that it wil come against the Democrat party and its deep state cabal , a criminal syndicate of liberal fascists who seek to destroy America. This is why President Trump must fire both Mueller and Rosenstein, replace Sessions and clean these liberal fascist mafia from the higher echelons of the federal government.

“The invasion of our country is about to begin.”

In other words, you hae only images that allow you to believe the troops are armed and imagine they must have ammo for their weapons?

Pictures are not good enough - point: were you to take a picture of the Navy personnel paroling their ship with side arms holstered and others carrying rifles in foreign port, you would imagine they were prepared to defend the ship.

However, their weapons had no ammo (that was locked up) and so the sailors on the ship could not stop a small boat laden with explosives - USS Cole.

If you have actual knowledge that’s one thing, images are another.

Hmm.

I just had an idea. How about if we send those worthless, corrupt millionaires in Congress down there, give ‘em each a shovel and tell them to start digging. Then we-the-people can finally get some of our money’s worth from those assholes AND we get some work done on the wall.

And I know Jeff Sessions is an ex-Senator, but let’s send him, too. After all, he’s not doing anything else.

“Do you realize that Trump has shifted his stance because of people like me and others that speak up.”

What arrogance and tortured logic!

First, you accuse Trump of breaking a campaign promise, then when he takes an action which proves you wrong, you want to take credit for his action?

I won’t even waste my time trying to list all the flaws in that argument.

Yawn. Your ignorance is painful.

So, someone does something you don't like, you keep quiet? Thus, for them, no one objects, must be okay? Seriously?!

No way. People speak up, lots of people speak up. And, guess what, whatever was being done gets rethought, maybe changed.

Else, get a good supply of Vaseline, bend over, and silently accept whatever occurs.

Your choice. They do say ignorance is bliss. Maybe works for you?

No, I speak up when someone is wrong, like right now I’m speaking up because you’re wrong.

You are obviously a Trump hater - you can deny it all you want but everyone here sees it.

You want us to think Trump needs the benifit of your criticisms, and your tough talk is what forces him to reluctantly do the right thing?

Trump isn’t perfect, but he is the most campaign-promise-keeping POTUS in modern history - he has remained remarkably true to his word - and you just won’t give him any credit.

YOU want to take the credit - you want us to thank you for correcting his bad behavior.

Get over yourself.

You do not know what you are talking about. I shouldn’t have to suggest it, but read my history and you will see that I am among the first Trump supporters on FR and that I still support him. I will and do dissent when called for, Deal with it.

I’ve noticed those that complain loudest about POTUS always give their favorite pet beltway “conservative” career politicians a free pass. As if Paul, Cruz, etc. are bystanders to the stinking garbage coming out of Congress.
