That sucks.
How close to the border were they?
Got it, they were about 20 miles out...
Bummer. I always felt better flying in ch 46 as opposed to the ch 53.
God bless those poor Marines and their families.
Sad, too bad — four brave guys. RIP
I have seen them flying at times in Yuma.
Sad. You always have a few casualties in training exercises.
Life is risk.
They deserve credit for doing what they do.
DAMN!
RIP.
Damn is right. My opinion is that the damned things are dangerous enough just flying in the first place. Then our guys in uniform have to push them to the limits in operations and in training if they want to get the job done. May God Bless these strong men and their families in their hour of their need.
Just Damn. My old squadron was in 3rd MAW. Chance I flew on that specific bird even.
Prayers for the devil dogs and their families. I expect to read about these weekly since some business guru decided it would be better to put American men and women on the border instead of building a wall, as promised. Costs effective, no.. deadly, yes. But here on FR we call that winning. Meanwhile every liberal program, fully funded.
The reported levels of violence on our borders, not to mention in these S..hole countries means our troops will be outgunned and outmanned.
Boy the media can’t wait to report on the tragic murder of innocent immigrant children.. I bet they already have the photos..
the wall costs were going to be measured in dollars, now it will be in body counts.
You liked the 46’s better than the 53’s? Man, you’re crazy - saw a 46’s rotors get out of sync out in Indian Springs on a training det - looked like someone took a pop can and twisted it.
Your acid dripping posts are always a joy to read. Congress, particularly the House, ‘you know’ lying Ryan, a wolf in sheep clothing, is who initiates any spending the Commander in Chief spends. I do take pleasure in knowing you will be judged by the same methodology by which you judge. Prayers up for that.
The 53’s are similar configuration to the Sea Stallions used by the Navy... had the opportunity to do a “Hollywood Jump” in 1976 during All American Week at 5,000 feet from one. Cramped but excellent for rescue operations.
Which one is the Italian bird, that goes Wop Wop Wop? Nothing like tossing a cigarette out of single rotor bird and watch the but catch a wave, or knees in the breeze;)
Yikes!!!
