Alex Castellanos, Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney's campaign strategist, told ABCs This Week its hard to believe that Robert Mueller is not going to dig up something in Trumps complicated financial history............a switch in Republicans fortune in Congress after Novembers mid-term elections could bring dire consequences for the Trump presidency.
Its hard to believe then that when Republicans lose the House in 2018, maybe by 40 or 50 seats, that the House is not going to impeach him, Castellanos said. And that a Senate thats scared to death, but still be in Republican hands, is not going to take a serious look when it has to deal with this president, he said. So Trump should get good legal help now, because the storm is coming.
Trumps legal team has been reduced to 2-3 attorneys after lead lawyer John Dowd resigned March 22 after a quarrel over how to respond to Muellers prosecutors. Dowd urged a more cooperative approach and advised Trump not to do a sit-down interview with Mueller. But Trump favored more aggressive tactics and spoke about his desire to be grilled by Mueller.
In the days around Dowds departure, a number of high-profile lawyers, including GWB's solicitor general, decided against joining.....Ty Cobb and Jay Sekulow, who have been advising the president in Muellers probe since last summer.

So in other words he was a strategist for two losers. And we should listen to him now because...?
And how does NeverTrump arsewipe Alex Castellanos know this? Short answer, he doesn’t.
If this is correct, Dowd was right on both counts.
That's where I stopped reading.
The ONLY hope that I have is that Attorney General out in UTAH...you know, the one Sessions appointed (and can seat a grand jury) AND which just so happens to be the jurisdiction where much of the Uranium One deal was centered in the USA.
Uranium company deal nearly done Utah town and mill part of the package in the sale to subsidiary of Russian nuclear agency.

Longshot, but THAT GUY could nab even MUELLER and cancel the insurance policy.
The Trump talk about “sitting down with Mueller” I believe is Trump trolling the Democrats....baiting them into making statements that reveal their thinking.
This should set a precedent. Every future Dim president should get a special prosecutor to dig into any and all aspects of their lives endlessly and with a bottomless budget unable to be fired.
Spineless GOP would never fight fire with fire but they should.

to be in the jurisdiction where much of the Clintons' Uranium One deal was centered.

Yeah, but Sessions is engaging in super-secret 8D chess against the Deep State, doncha know.
See my tagline. Jeff Magoo put the mueller coup into play. The fact that he has not ended it, tells you everything you need to know about the southern-fried rat bastard.
Theyre trying to stampede Trump into firing Mueller. Its their only play. Financial crimes are complicated, and in any case were talking about stuff that is alleged to have happened before his presidency.
Nope. They’re trying to hamstring and distract POTUS so they can steal the agenda. Exhibit A is the omnibus bill. The last thing they want is for Trump to fire Mueller, clear the decks and put them under the spotlight. They’d much rather pull strings in the background.
Notice the more the Parkland clown posse shoots off its mouths, the more the Dems lose ground. Gun Control is the kiss of death for Dems in Nov.
Except Trumps financial dealings is not what Mueller was put in place to do. These people are desperate, which means theyre scared.
Why would they be desperate? Mueller has top cover from the media and GOP. They are confidentially planning their October Surprise knowing Trump won’t risk a GOP Civil War by firing Mueller right before the midterms.
Gee whillikers! His credentials are ALMOST solid!
If only he had advised John McCain and John Kasich, he'd be SOLID.
On what grounds. What’s he done wrong?
They obviously dont care about losing the house or senate.
There’s a difference between losing Congress and losing relevance. A GOP with 100 seats in Congress will find the K Street payola dries up fast.
On what grounds would he be impeached? Have you been paying attention? He'd be impeached because he won.And every single Rat in the House would vote "yes".At least a few so called "Republicans" would as well.
Defeatist attitude. No surprise this is from Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney’s campaign strategist.
(hat tip Raycpa) Trump is not your average working class person (although Mueller’s mistake is treating Trump as if he were).
As a billionaire with extensive business interests, Trump is under constant audit by IRS.
Significantly, Trump has been in the gaming industry; this is significant b/c the gaming industry does extensive background investigation on individuals applying for gaming licenses.
The industry is looking for illegal activity on the part of applicants. Mueller will find nothing significant, b/c prior investigations by the gaming industry have already looked and found nothing.
NOTE WELL: At one time, Trump had four casinos in A/C alone-—so he passed the rigorous gaming industry test with flying colors.
That became one of Trumps A/C casino holdings. BTW, Trump has not been in the A/C casino business for some 10 years even though some A/C casinos bear his name.
Donald greatly respected the Hiltons and named his son by Melania after Barron Hilton.
Incidentally, Playboy Hugh Hefner was also refused an A/C gaming license.
