With criticism coming from Democrats aimed at the Trump administration over spending on a border wall and border security, President Donald Trump tweeted rips of "ridiculous liberal (Democrat) laws," called for the Senate to go "nuclear" to "pass tough laws now," and vowed "no more DACA deal" on Sunday.
Stopping before walking into church on Easter Sunday, President Trump echoed his tweets.
"Mexico has got to help us at the border, and a lot of people are coming in because they want to take advantage of DACA," Trump told reporters as broadcast on "MSNBC Live."
President Trump tried and failed to fund his estimated $25-26 billion border wall and border security plan in the $1.3 trillion omnibus passed last month by leveraging it against a permanent solution for the Obama-era DACA program.
DACA, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, allows benefits and protections for children who were illegally brought to the U.S. by adults but gives no official U.S. citizenship status. It was a program started by former President Barack Obama under an executive order. President Trump called for the expiration of the order to force Congress to create a permanent solution. The president’s actions have been blocked by courts.

This is an election year. This gives them the opportunity to show how “tough” they are by opposing this “march of the illegals.”

Mitch can’t go nuclear by himself. He needs 51 or 60 votes depending on which publication you read. He can’t get even 51 votes. When they tested the waters at the beginning of the current Senate term, they had 47 votes and no more.
Asking to go nuclear would be like asking Ryan and McConnell to work with Trump and MAGA.....not happening with them two idiots in place.

I was trying to understand why he doesn’t just sign executive orders negating all of the EVIL that 0bama did...and then, as you stated, the @#$%^&*! courts throw up roadblocks.

The USA has a dire obligation to protect it’s borders. It is our governments #1 job.

On immigration, the breakdown of Congressional Republicans seems to be about like this:
About 50% are immigration liberals, i.e. they may as well be Democrats or worse on the issue.
About 25% have some level of commitment to enforcing our immigration laws, if only because voters in their districts demand it.
Another 25% can be swayed in either direction, depending on whichever way the political winds are blowing.
