John 20:1-10 (KJV)
1The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
2Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the LORD out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.
3Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.
4So they ran both together: and the other disciple did out run Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.
5And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.
6Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,
7And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
8Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.
9For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
10Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.

Howdy, LUV.
Had a great time at the museum, as always. I didn’t wander through today, just got down to the business at hand. I swear the uniforms in that tote multiply while I’m gone since it seems the mountain doesn’t shrink. LOL!
Actually, I’m seeing progress though it’s still slow. Instead of a heap piled well over the top, there’s now a hole forming in it.
I’m not talking a small tote. Those things are huge!

It will be wonderful to see them all out and showing the world how our troops have dressed over the decades.

Thanks for the pretty, warm day you sent down here. LOL!
Today was a nice change from the weather we’ve had the past week.

They won’t all be set out. There are a lot of duplicates and they’ll eventually sell those to other collectors. But they’ll putting out as many different ones from over the years as they have room for.
Today was primarily utilities - - mostly pants - because that’s what I came up on in the tote. No telling what’s underneath them but I’ll find out eventually.

Sounds like you’ve had a great day, and are still having it. :-) Save the world, y’all! LOL
The nice weather isn’t here to stay but we have one more fairly decent day before it goes to crap again. We’re sure looking forward to seeing the last of cold weather for a long time.
Have a nice Easter!

That’s pretty much it. LOL! No rhyme or reason as to how they load up the totes. There are two that were brought back last week that haven’t been opened yet, and a couple of the guys went to Tupelo today. They’ll bring more stuff back. Any uniforms that are in the totes will be piled into the tote I’m working from and that hole could well be filled back up by next Saturday.
That’s why it feels like I’m not making any headway. :-)

But, it sure makes you feel needed to have all those uniforms to spiff up. :) Do you find many with moth holes in them? Does anyone repair those?
Did you have better weather today for your trek?

Considering it’s all men who run the museum, they’re thrilled to have someone volunteer to deal with cleaning up the uniforms so they don’t have to. LOL!
That’s just fine. It’s something worthwhile to do for a while yet.
I haven’t found the first moth hole in anything yet. Everything’s in good shape, just dusty and linty from being stashed in that big building in tupelo for years. I do run across dead brown recluse spiders, though, and that freaks me out. I keep waiting to run into a live one. *shudder*
It was a beautiful day here. Sunny, blue skies, warm though a bit breezy. Rain is moving into TN tonight but it isn’t supposed to get this far south. We’ll get rain Monday though.
Did it get really hot down there again or are you enjoying comfy temps?

Sounds like the perfect spring Saturday, especially since you DIDN’T find live recluse spiders! EEK!
Has your hubby seen the bobcat lately? I hope it doesn’t have kittens [or whatever they’re called] in your barn! That’s taking cat lady waaaaaay too far! LOL!
