U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley has confirmed that going forward, the U.S. will pay no more than 25 percent of its peacekeeping costs.
Associated Press reported she told a Security Council meeting this week, “Peacekeeping is a shared responsibility. All of us have a role to play, and all of us must step up.”
The international group assessed the United States 28.5 percent of the $7.3 billion spending this year.
But that broke the 25 percent limit established in U.S. law and Haley informed the government officials in the U.N. that’s the cap, starting with this year’s peacekeeping budget.
But still, the second largest contributor, China, is told to pay only a bit over 10 percent.
In response, AP reported, spokesmen for Assembly President Miroslav Lajcak and U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres noted the 193 U.N. member states will decide the budget.
Currently, the U.N. peacekeeping operations involve some 105,000 troops and police in places ranging from Haiti to India and Pakistan.

The UN is so used to American leaders who just roll over and do whatever they want.
We need a movement to relocate the UN Headquarters every, say, 5 years. It’s only fair, right?

Why does America pay more than anybody else? Aren’t all countries supposed to be equal? At the very least the other security council members ought to pay the same as America. We should inform the UN that’s all we will pay from now on.
And we need to get their corrupt festering crap hole of a headquarters off of our territory.

Some countries send troops on UN Peacekeeping Missions just so they can take the solders UN Pay
Put the new UN in Gaza. It can rotate with Mogadishu every 5 years. And make both compounds totally green, including vehicles.
I suggest $0.00 on the next check and watch them scramble. Now THAT would be fun to watch.

True. The world has relied on the US for too many things since World War 2. It’s time for the rest of the world to step up, and build their own economies and industries. And to fix their own messes
