The attorney representing porn star Stormy Daniels suggested his client would be open to settling her lawsuit against President Trump outside of court.
If they came to you with a settlement in this case, would you accept it? CBS This Mornings Anthony Mason asked attorney Michael Avenatti. I think we would consider it; I would converse with my client. It would depend on the terms of a settlement, Avenatti responded. But at this point, I dont see how the case gets resolved short of the truth coming out.
Daniels, 39, is suing Trump over a non-disclosure agreement stemming from an extra-marital one-night stand she allegedly had with the president in 2006. Her lawyer argues the agreement is not binding since it was not signed by Trump himself.
The popular adult-film actress also claims she and her infant daughter were threatened in a Las Vegas parking lot to keep quiet about the affair. She was paid $130,000 by Trump lawyer Michael Cohen late in the 2016 campaign to stay silent about the affair.
Were only getting started. Michael Cohen has zero credibility, Avenatti said, adding that Cohen has a history of thuggish behavior and trying to step on little people.
He also commented that the reason Trump has not tweeted about Ms. Daniels is because the allegations are true.
Host Gayle King challenged the attorney a bit more, remarking that the salacious details of the case are jarring for many Americans, and asking him to tell her why the case should matter to voters.
It should matter to every American because its all about the cover-up, Avenatti said. Its about the lies and deceit.
that is a true statement
he’s got nothing
he is showing weakness because if this goes any further, he and his client are in serious jeopardy
Great idea of this guy taunting an aggressive Jewish lawyer.
“Stormy Daniels Lawyer: We Would Consider a Settlement”
I wonder how much they’d be willing to pay?
First she would have to return any money she received to keep quiet, and any money she received to talk about it. Maybe then someone will talk about a settlement.
Nuisance factor. Much like the scam the “Black Power” folks pulled on the industrial and commercial sectors of the economy, for years, under Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
“We are going to yell and hurl insults until you give us what we want to go away!”
Only, I kind of suspect that Donald Trump did not get to the level he is by surrendering to this kind of guilt trip.
He also commented that the reason Trump has not tweeted about Ms. Daniels is because the allegations are true.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The reason Trump has not tweeted is because it’s an active legal case. The Stormy lawyer has blinked first in saying a settlement would be on the table .... it’s “he said - she said” .... if they had pictures, I believe they’d already be ‘out there’ as the Dems would have made sure of that prior to Nov. 2016.
“Shes a sex worker.”
She’s an exploited drug addicted cum dumpster.
...and it is sad, that she’s been manipulated into believing people admire that.
They are both whores
I'm amazed at the number of psychopaths walking around free.
Well the MSMLSD will have to look for another false accusation against Trump.
They’ve got nothing and they know it.
Here we have a woman who rents out certain body parts for use by men. She gets paid. Then she wants to get paid again?
Stormy already got paid if the alleged incident actually happened. Then she got paid again, $130,000, an amount more that several years salary for the average worker in the USA.
Now, she wants another settlement? Is this not how gangsters and racketeers work?
It is time for her to go away. From what I can tell, she is quite far from Trump's type.
I read something somewhere that he wanted to settle the 20 NDA violations for something in the neighborhood of $20M.
I’m sure you two pixies would. You’re both giving prostitutes a bad name.
20 million is a lot of lap dances ..
Hey, Stormy, go out and earn $14 the hard way.
TWB
And look how she honored that ‘settlement’.
