Howdy do, Conor! *HUGZ*

I hope all’s going well with you.

Any signs of Spring in your neck o’ the woods these days or is Old Man Winter still hanging on?

Good evening, LUV!

*HUGS*

It's great to see you this evening! Only a short visit tonight - I was late getting home from work.

Mrs. MacNessa and I will be singing in our Church's Easter Triduum the next three evenings so I wanted to drop in and wish all a Happy Easter.

"I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces guarding our country and our way of life.
I am prepared to give my life in their defense."

This area is full of dogwoods .... in yards and in the wild. It’s pretty when they all show off each spring. It’s just a surprise to see any blossoms open already because it’s been so cold. They usually bloom in April.

Not supposed to cool off all that much behind this front but nights will be a bit chilly.
It just stinks this rain will probably still be around tomorrow afternoon when they hold that reception/ceremony for the Vietnam vets.

Good evening, Radu!

*HUGS*

All is well at Castle MacNessa - Spring is in full force this week - we expect highs in the 70's tomorrow. Of course, we could still have snow in April.

April, as the poet once said, is the cruelest month! :)

Aw, rats! I hope it does quit raining before the reception. But, I’ll bet it won’t slow anyone down. It’s important to honor those vets!

We used to see dogwoods in the wild when we lived in GA. Beautiful little trees!

Good evening, radu...the lady greeting the troops looks to be at an airport. I would bet money that something funny is written on her shirt. She does have the troops’ attention. LOL!

Wow! y’all are having nicer weather than we are. Still in the 60s down here and dealing with wet, wet, and more wet.
I thought April was supposed to be the month for showers. LOL!

We’ve been known to be cursed with snow in April, too, so let’s both hope we can get through this one without it. :-)

As slowly as this system is creeping along, it looks to be a soggy afternoon tomorrow. But that won’t keep us away!

Dogwoods are pretty trees, aren’t they? The one in the back yard is a white one and the woods are full of more. I planted a young red one in front of the other house a few years ago and really enjoy its color when it blooms.

Yes, she does appear to be at an airport, welcoming them home from deployment. It could well be she has something funny written on her shirt. They’re smiling about something, that’s for sure. :-)

I’ve only seen white ones and knew there were pink ones, but have never seen a red one! I’ll bet it’s gorgeous! It’s nice that they’re blooming at Easter time!

The red ones are really a dark pink. I think they’re prettier than the basic pink ones and just lucked onto this one. Poor thing was almost dead from neglect at the store when I bought it and I nursed that little tree big time its first year here. We had a drought that summer, too, which made success pretty iffy.
It didn’t grow much the first couple of years - - just put its energy into surviving ad getting stronger. Then it took off and has grown quite a bit since then.

It WILL be nice to have them blooming at Easter time.
And the pink camellia bush is still blooming in the back yard too. Add the daffodils and it will be a nicely colorful weekend.

What ever happened to the King of Ping?

Not sure who you mean, but before I inherited the ping list, it was sent out by 68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub. He never recovered from a stroke in 2007.

Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...is the weather one day closer to Blue coming home?

We had a dusting of snow last night and are expected the same tonight.

Sounds lovely! That’s the best part of spring. What color tulips do you have?

I have some white irises blooming. They always bloom way before the other colors. I found them along the fence at the little family cemetery where my mom and grandparents are buried.
