We hear it ad nauseum every gun-control debate: “No one is talking about taking away your guns. Stop being so paranoid!” But one of the more admirable traits of this post-Parkland round of gun-control debate is activists have been willing to be quite honest about their desire to take drastic measures to take guns away from their fellow Americans.
Just this week, a former Supreme Court justice wrote an op-ed in the pages of The New York Times suggesting we should repeal the Second Amendment as a “more effective and more lasting reform” to “minimize the risk of mass killings of schoolchildren and others in our society.” Just to prevent any misunderstanding of his intent, the op-ed was headlined, “John Paul Stevens: Repeal the Second Amendment.”

The totalitarian leftists trying to confiscate guns from honest, law abiding Americans are not going to be honest about their intentions or their goals.
Yes they are. When they propose nonsensical solutions to the problem and chant the same old mantras, common sense points to and end goal of confiscation.

If dems make up 40 percent of the country, that’s 16 percent of the country.
MAYBE 4 percent of independents support it.
So i’m thinking, at MOST, 20 percent are in favor of it.
And I’d bet money that than number was pretty much the same before the shootings.
Just the shootings gave them a chance to be open about their hatred for the constitution.
My response to this for sometime now has been: if these progressive/communists could take away your guns they would.
Currently and hopefully for the foreseeable future it will be beyond their ability to accomplish.
Whenever a person advocates disarming normal law abiding citizens, the first question should be: "What are you planning to do that would make you afraid that the population is armed"?
The media has finally created an everlasting apathy in their non-stop hate hype. There is no shock value or emotional stirring caused by the relentless onslaught. And even my liberal compatriots and friends are in eye roll mode at anything having to do with Trump reporting and media hysterics in general.
The MSM is now feckless. They can high-five themselves in their bubble. But they have little credibility or influence these days. Only the truly deranged simpletons and bafoons follow and regurgitate the faithful talking points and fake story lines. But they can’t be saved anyway and are stuck in a quagmire of stupid. They are irredeemable deplorables.
For this, we should thank them. The MSM can do less and less harm as most Americans wake up to the fallacy that is journalism.

Liberals seek to take guns from honest, non-violent people while leaving them in the hands of violent criminals. They make laws that turn honest people into criminals, thus enabling law enforcement to claim that they are arresting the criminals.
There is no doubt about this whatsoever.
