The theology program at the Jesuit-run College of the Holy Cross has taken on a new tone ever since the school appointed a gender-obsessed Chair of New Testament Studies who claims Jesus was a drag king, a new article contends.
Writing for The Fenwick Review, Elinor Reilly of the Holy Cross class of 2018 argues in a March 26 article that Professor Tat-Siong Benny Liews unconventional readings of Scripture have brought a new theological perspective to Holy Cross.

That was one of the more repulsive things I’ve read recently. Our world is being overrun with sickos and lunatics, and there seems to be no end to it.

About a million years ago, my father was a supervisor in a major corporation with a branch in Massachusetts.
I remember him saying that, for the most part, you could spot Holy Cross graduates because they were really, really stupid.

While theres been speculation for centuries , its just that - speculation without an iota of proof. Anyone can speculate about anything but its not scholarship. If she really insists on speculating, she could speculate that jesus was married. So far as I know, that goes back at least a millennium further than this homo garbage - and it would at least be culturally ( and religiously) suitable for the role of a Jewish rabbi/teacher one thing is for sure, parents should yank their kids out of that college ASAP! Theyll be a lot better off elsewhere, there are a few pretty good RCC colleges still around the kids would be much better off even at most secular schools than to be taught this kind of unsupported rubbish at a Catholic college.

Professor Tat Sioung Benny Liew looks like, as they call them in the P.I., a Benny boy.

I’m thinking this approach tells us a lot more about the “professor” than it does about theology.
To: detective
Forget the school’s reaction. Its God he needs to worry about. God is not mocked. A terrible fate awaits that professor unless he begs for forgiveness.

I think he is the Professor, and a he 😉 While the person defending the professors position in the article is a female. Maybe that is where the confusion originated? May God give us strength, FRiend 😇 Tatt

I seem to recall that Thomas Aquinas wrote some commentaries on Aristotle that explored John the Baptist’s Marilyn Monroe impersonation as a metaphor for the trilogy or something. But I might be remembering that wrong.

The article consistently uses the pronoun "he" for this professor. Googling, I see many articles calling him "he," and some sescribing him as transcultural, transpacific and even transdisciplinary, but nothing about himself, personally, being a transman or transgender.
So I think it's a man.
I think.

From the article:
“Elinor Reilly of the Holy Cross class of 2018 argues in a March 26 article that Professor Tat-Siong Benny Liews unconventional readings of Scripture have brought a new theological perspective to Holy Cross.
Letting the facts speak for themselves, Ms. Reilly suggests that the centrality of sex and gender to his way of thinking about the New Testament significantly colors the way that Professor Liew presents Jesus Christ to students at the Catholic College.”
