Leaders of the “March for Our Lives” anti-gun protest movement scrambled Tuesday to distance themselves from an op-ed in the New York Times by former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens calling for the Second Amendment to be repealed. In the op-ed, Stevens wrote that in the wake of last weekend’s nationwide protests, ” the demonstrators should seek more effective and more lasting reform. They should demand a repeal of the Second Amendment.”

John Paul made a big public relations mistake when he published the intentions of the left. The 94-year old blindsided his fellow-travelers when he blurted out the plan.
Now, they are scrambling to re-shell the egg. Trump has already pounced on this blunder and other conservatives need to follow suit - over, and over, and over.
Of course they don’t want to do anything Constitutional. They just want to ban guns. Duh!
These people are unconscionable liars and frauds. Enemies of the Republic.
“March for our lives”. The whole name sounds foolish. The people so fixated on saving their own lives often end up becoming the biggest tools.

No African-Americans were not counted 3/5s for being black. Free blacks would count the same as a free white. There was still white indentured servants in the US at the time of the writing of the US Constitution so these whites would also count as 3/5s of as person. Mr. Kasky seems to have learned or just ignores it was the slave power in the South that wanted to count slaves fully so they would control the new national government. So according to Mr. Kasky that would have been a-okay to give the slave power even more power in Washington as long as slaves whom exercised zero political power counted as a full person.
All one needs to do is check out some of the "on the scene" interviews with people who were at the rally. Most of those asked said they think the 2nd Amendment needs to be revised or repealed. One interviewer was even able to find a young person who said she thinks the entire constitution is outdated.
A lot more than one. There were a lot of signs at the #MarxForYourLives marches that called for the repeal of the 2nd A.
My problem is that they have no idea how to put complete gun control in place. It has been tried in many countries like England, Australia, Japan, Iceland, New Zealand....probably every country in the world has some form of “laws” concerning the purchase and use of firearms. And the inconsistency is the consistency as it has no pattern or measurement of success. Some of the warring countries where homicides are a way of life are not indicating any real different numbers than countries that either have or do not have gun ownership in large numbers.
So it isn’t the gun amounts, it’s the shooters. Honest citizens don’t murder people. So if they have a gun, are they guilty by association? It appears so.
