NBC/WSJ have a new survey by the Democratic polling firm Hart Research, and it finds that Americans are much more likely to view guns as making them safer than they were 20 years ago.

Well go live in rural PA like I do. It will take the cops close to an hour to get to your home and respond.
That must have made them very sad. Surprised they even published the results.
The media onslaught against our freedoms will eventually fizzle out. Their credibility is down on the drain with enough Americans that they can’t significantly sway mass opinion anymore, even with ‘round-the-clock coverage/propaganda.
Wide public gun ownership protects citizens against TYRANNY!
The paranoia in me wants to say “expect more stand down orders: the Democrats need more bodies to push their agenda” but I’ll just agree that it’s surprising this slipped out too.
And common crime. Concealed carry reduces crime rates.
8 years of Odungo will do that to anyone....go out and buy a gun.
I have a brainwashed 27yr old niece to whom I said...”More guns, Less crime” the other night...(And told her to go read John Lott’s stuff.) I’m hoping we can deprogram her when she’s out of law school, altho I think it may be beginning...she has figured out she cannot be a “criminal attorney”...no money in it to pay back her student loans...hahaha...reality is hitting.
“reality is hitting.”
Gotta love the look on their face as that breaks through on their thoroughly washed brains...
I agree. The general population feels less safe now than 20 years ago. Various leftist policies brought that about. Illegal aliens. Pleading down charges for violent criminals. Early paroles. Etc.
Safer. Yeh especially with the govt getting more tyrannical.
‘Concealed carry reduces crime rates.’
wouldn’t open carry reduce crime even more...?
That's a really excellent point that goes to what David Hogg said about the youth taking over and instituting changes after we bitter clingers die off.
For yes, Hogg is right that the youth is brainwashed by the schools and that when the old people die off it's their world, BUT he neglected to take into account that the young people can get over the brainwashing and no longer be guided by the left.
So if the left is going to launch a revolution -- gun grabs and totalitarianism -- it's a balancing act for when to do it -- have to wait long enough for enough bitter clingers to die off, but not so long that the youth outgrow their brainwashing.
The narrowness of Trump's victory in 2016 shows just what a knife edge we're balanced on.
Sounds good to me!
I was going by studies I’ve heard of that correlate concealed carry and lower crime rates.
Even the gun-grabbers in the VPC admit that firearms (including AR-style) in the hands of citizens are used to prevent crime at least 67,000 times per year... Some others say 2 Million times!

When an opponent declares, I will not come over to your side, and you will not get me on your side, I calmly say, Your child belongs to me already. A people lives forever. What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants however now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community.- Hitler at Elbing, Germany, when the Nazi conspirators publicly announced the purposes of their educational and training program.
I cannot find that data in the survey link. Please point us to the data illustrated in the chart.
Hitler advises the new generation.
But it could just as easily have been Stalin or Mao.
Bottom line, totalitarianism.
